For what it's worth, I think one should only be allowed to play words whose definition one knows. That would mean the competition is more about vocabulary than who is the biggest word-absorbing robot.

For the record, "zeroise" means to reset a counter (or a vector, I think) to zero. I used it all the time in my maths degree.
