Just noticed I'm featured twice on a Statland list! :D
On the lowest all scoring games list, but I'm in. ;)

It seems I have the most appearances on that list, with three. Not sure what to make of that.

On behalf of Chris, I'm posting this in brag. Truly brilliant. I held some hope from my round 9 spot but then, bam, some more obscure words from Chris and I'm floored. Relentless.

An interesting game. After observing Matthew's CAVORTING, Dinos toyed successfully with SODOMITES which led to unanticipated NUPTIALS. Both players missed out on a juicy HEADMISTRESS, choosing to tangle instead with a pair of MAULERS. All ended sadly with Matthew getting SECTIONED and Dinos getting HOSPITALIZED.

Well done mate. Goatdown is far easier to get max games for though. Getting a 15 rounder max game is your next step!
AArrrrrgghh. Wanted to respond to this with my max game for ages. If only id risked CARTOONY I'd have one. Still my best ever game in terms of maxes. But sigh:

Thought I'd post this little triolet of speedgoats with Chris Davies which I enjoyed, especially the second although in hindsight I'm even more gutted about round one and he beat me by a fraction to the conundrum which I only know cause I saw one the other day in a museum :x

Game 1

Game 2

My best game by a long shot, with good numbers and some favourite words of mine (though not round 3), and all against quality competition. I had the conundrum but buzzed in a split second too late.

Game 1

Game 2

Game 3
The second one has some terrible playing from me - the other two weren't so bad. I would have won the third, had I picked S for SENARIUS like I meant to, but I went and picked the wrong letter and didn't realise until I had about a second of time left :D

Slightly bizarre time to get it as if you look at the games prior to this you can see I was just half-arsing it waiting for my COMA game to start, then I realised half way throughI was on a perfect game and got so nervous I picked 4 vowels to start in my last round :?

Yes, I think so, its definitely a purer form of the game, but I doubt I'll be playing as often now I've been released from my obsession.

This is brilliant. I can sort of comprehend how it could be done (on a round by round basis) but christ, I couldn't even come close to being able to think fast enough to actually do it. Game of the week!

Never in regular Hyper. Bolas got one in Hypergoatdown from his pick and I got one in max-only hypergoatdown from an opponent's pick.

Quite surprised given I missed some sitters (especially AUDITOR). I suppose learning the full STAINER stem paid off in getting REATTAINS.

Blimey - I'd always assumed that Bevatron was a made-up nickname (like Kirkulator) and hadn't realised it was an actual word. I've spent the last few minutes sniggering at lots of online descriptions, from the requirement for shielding around the Bevatron to a tearful account of the Bevatron being shut down.

Goat Attack pb though still some way short of the record- bit gutted to have the very plausible CODENAME^ disallowed (ODE says 2 words, 50p says ODE3 won't) and a bit annoyed by Prune's woeful picking in rounds 10 and 16.

Also, this awesome new official variant really needs support. ;)

Not apterous as such but since apterous I haven't played the board game for absolutely ages. Well my housemates wanted a game and I said I'd play as DC to make it a bit more even for them. I couldn't believe it that my first game with the board game for well over a year turned out to be a max game. Play along below - feel free to add your words if you want.

Round 1: N T R I E O M R I
Round 2: P P G R E A U Y W
Round 3: R T S O A E D F E
Round 4: F D R U A O W X I
Round 5: 25, 5, 5, 6, 6, 2 TARGET 159

Round 6: N L T E E E T N O
Round 7: N R M I E O M S O
Round 8: T N D I A U B Q I
Round 9: C N F A O U C G I
Round 10: 100, 10, 2, 5, 5, 6 TARGET 915

Round 11: R K D E E E S E B
Round 12: S L H R A I A G S
Round 13: M P S A E O T N A
Round 14: 100, 6, 7, 9, 3, 8 TARGET: 151

Check out round 14. This is easily my best numbers solution ever. The thought involved was a bit ridiculous, but first noticing the target was 283x3. Crossword tools says there is only one solution and has a 99% difficulty rating.

I got it.

75 25 100 50 3 5 → 849

(100-5) x 75 = 7125, -50 = 7075
7075 / 25 = 283, x3 = 849
