Words of (un)limited usefulness

Post by Charlie Reams »

To encourage the nascent Countdown Unlimited sub-culture that is starting to emerge on Apterous, I've made the following list of words which are useful for Unlimited (and almost certainly not for anything else):

http://www.countdownwiki.com/Countdown_ ... ul_letters

I think my favourite of these is BEST, which gives TSESSEBES for nine.

OK... Clueless Clare time...

Can you explain how Countdown Unlimited works and why those stems are therefore useful?

Yeah, if only Charlie had linked to something that explains all that.

Oh dear. Didn't read the link properly (obviously). My only excuses being that (a) I am Clare and I am Clueless and (b) this was yesterday, when (a) was much truer than normal due to having only had 5 hours' sleep in the previous three days.

Oh, and (c) Charlie's link contained a # directive, meaning it took you straight to the stems and if you clicked on it and looked quickly, the CU (No Tipping) explanation was not visible unless you scrolled up.

Still. Ho hum. Wibble.
