You look fairly happy, but the dribbling probably didn't help.

What about the Jaundice?

Edit: I'd also like to ask Damian if there is any limit as to how long you can wait after auditioning before you go to record (if you get selected). i.e if i passed the audition i would want to practice on apterous loads before i recorded, and i wonder how long i could have.

If the likes of Hulme, Carson and Davies are applying for series 61 then I'll probably wait until series 62 (assuming Carol Vorderman and the Daily Mail don't get it cancelled by then). Nothing personal, I just want a teapot really badly.

Ben, I think you should go for Series 61. First series where all 8 finalists were bred on Apterous?

And Oli. TBH I think they'll be a plentiful supply of lexonerds for many series to come.

A semifinal line-up of Hulme, Davies, Carson and Pugh would by scary

Almost makes me glad that I'm in this series where I've *only* got Bevins and Gough to contend with.
Almost.

I was going to mention the Pugh but I thought the sentence sounded nicer with just three names (why do I care about these things?). But yeah, coming up against Pugh Dawg on an octo run is also a terrifying prospect. Countdown is sort of becoming televised Apterous, which is both awesome and scary.

There's no such thing as an easy series, Ben. Come Series 62, presuming you qualify to play, there will be other new players who'll be known to apterous who will have awesome potential. You might have to wait a decade or two if you're looking for an easy ride.

Andrew,

Did you put a photo on your application form?
Or attach one?
Or not put one in at all?

Even an accomplished, practised apterous head can have a bad day. After all, a studio with a live audience, TV cameras, Damien above like the sword of Damocles and worrying that you're going to make a pratt of yourself in front of an audience isn't pressure. much.
If you're going to have a go, do it now. Better to regret things done than not done.
It really is great fun

Difficult decision, isn't it?
I know I'm unlikely to be a finalist, whenever I apply, unless I'm really lucky and have rather middling or crap opponents.
Still, I'd like to improve a bit before applying.
I've also got rather a lot to sort out domestically, so maybe not till series 63 or 64.

Have the two youngest told you when they're planning to enter, yet?
