On the search for Countdown episodes

Post by Thomas Wood »

Hi everyone,

I did post a similar post a few weeks ago

I am basically looking for anyone that has any old Countdown episodes - it doesn't matter what year or series. Although the only thing i require is that they are full episodes and that they are presented by either Richard Whiteley or Des Lynam. I badly need some of these older episodes. If anyone has any please please please come forward!!!

I am also looking for the Countdown 25th Birthday episode

Please please help me if you have any episodes :D

If you have any episodes please send me a message or email me at: mannmovies@aol.com

Thank you so much

Hi everyone,

I am basically looking for anyone that has any old English or Scottish banknotes - it doesn't matter what year or denomination. Although the only thing I require is that they are full banknotes without the serial numbers torn off or anything and that they have a picture of the Queen or some old Scottish dude on them. I badly need some of these older banknotes. If anyone has any please please please come forward!!!

I am also looking for uncashed bonds, promissory notes and gold bullion

Please please help me if you have any :D

I like how this thread is titled like a traditional academic paper.

To suppose that the new series of Countdown - with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the feel and appearance of the set, for admitting different kinds of contestants, and for the introduction of the not unenergetic Jeff Stelling - could have been formed by a not insubstantial slashing of Carol's paycheque, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree.

Not exactly a helpful or very friendly response from some on this forum.Hopefully I can restore the faith of a young Countdown devotee by offering you a number of episodes on DVD,including the 25th birthday episode.Which was hosted by Des O,Connor.

Thank you Jeff - You do get idiots that try to be sarcastic and show off in life much like Jim Bentley is doing - It is not funny and not clever - I respect your generosity Jeff

I rather enjoyed Jim's parody.

Sarcasm would be someone saying "Yes, I'd love to send you all my tapes. I'd like nothing more than to see them all go up on youtube and be implicated in a massive breach of copyright."

I wish you all the best in your quest for DVDs and hope you enjoy them if and when you get them.
