25*4 = 100
100-10 = 90
90*7 = 630
630+9 = 639
Surprising miss.

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 4th March
I thought of TAWDRIEST but i would have settled for STRIATED
If I suddenly have a squirming baby on my lap it probably means that I should start paying it some attention and stop wasting my time messing around on a Countdown forum

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 4th March
yarr, I thought it wouldn't be ok, but it seems a bit odd to have something in as a (lower case) word in a phrase, but not by itself (to me, at least)dinos_the_chemist wrote:No mistle I'm afraidMichael Wallace wrote:can you have MISTLE? 'MISTLE THRUSH' is in as 2 words, but not MISTLE on its own

Alternative first numbers within the time
[(2 x 10) + 7] x 25 = 675
9 x 4 = 36 and subtract

Re. the numbers game. In the time I went another different way that I thought more straight forward.
9x2=18
18+7=25
25x25=625
10+4=14
625+14=639
or (((9*2)+7)*25)+10+4=639 if you prefer!

18+7=25
25x25=625
10+4=14

or (((9*2)+7)*25)+10+4=639 if you prefer!
