Countdown comes to the Fylde coast for the 6th time!

I am delighted to announce Co:Blackpool is all good to go for this September. For those of you who were able to attend last year, we will be at the same venue, where we will have our own private room and access to the bar. There will be plans announced from Friday evening through to Sunday morning to accompany the event, including karaoke and amusements.

Date: 14th September 2024

Venue: The Wainwright Club, 173 Hornby Road, Blackpool, FY1 4RD https://g.co/kgs/2twz3uC

Admission: £8, payable here https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/bradleyhorrocks/8

Hosted by: Bradley Horrocks

Doors open: 10:45 (please don’t arrive before this time)

Games to be played: 6 + grand final for the top 2

Refreshments: Not provided (bar on site)

Finishes by: 17:30

Wheelchair accessible?: Yes ♿

Parking onsite?: Yes – enter your reg plate at the bar

Format: Lincoln style (tables of 3), six 9-rounder games. 9-rounder grand final

In each of the 3 rounds, you will play 2 games and host 1 other. The draw for round 1 is random, then in the next two rounds you will be matched with others who have scored similarly to you. Don’t worry if round 1 doesn’t go too well, everyone should get some well-matched games by the afternoon!

Rough timetable for the day

Doors open: 10:45
Welcome/Round 1 Draw: 11:30
Round 1: 11:45
Lunch: 13:00
Round 2: 14:00

Post-event group meal plans:

Closer to the time, I will arrange a meal for the Saturday night. Information will be shared on the Facebook page, and I will share directly with those not on Facebook. Then, following Co:Blackpool tradition, we head to Gaiety’s for a spot of karaoke!

Payment

Entry fee for the day will be £8 per person, payable via this link: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/BradleyHorrocks/8. Please remember to select the ‘Friends and Family’ option. If you don’t have PayPal, please contact us at focalcountdown@gmail.com to arrange alternate payment options.
