Favourite Comedy Gig
As I am about to see Stewart Lee tonight I though why not a thread for stand up performances.
Up until now, Frank Skinner in 1997 is my favourite, it was a tough gig, coming days after Princess Diana's funeral but he was great as was Bob Monkhouse in 1981 at Butlins in Skegbess

Probably never enjoyed anyone live more than Brendon Burns.

It was great really good seats in row D but luckily for me I wasn't wearing a T Shirt as he picked on a few people.
First time I've seen him
One of the few comedians both myself and my partner like.

Re: Favourite Comedy Gig
Sad to say since he's since become a zionist boomer on a complaining about PC gone mad kick in recent times but Jerry Seinfeld was probably the best live gig I saw. My face was hurting from laughing.
Other highlights would be Jackie Mason, Billy Connolly, Bill Burr, Tommy Tiernan, Reginald D. Hunter, Frankie Boyle, Doug Stanhope, Apres Match.
Never got to see the greatest to ever do it, Norm MacDonald, live but his special that is on Netflix, Hitler's Dog, is by far the best hour of stand up comedy I've ever seen.
Other highlights would be Jackie Mason, Billy Connolly, Bill Burr, Tommy Tiernan, Reginald D. Hunter, Frankie Boyle, Doug Stanhope, Apres Match.

Interestingly, in his set Stewart Lee had a little dig at Frankie Boyle for using a team of uncredited writers. (Lee writes his own material) for his stand Up

Did he then repeat it 20 times because he was lacking material of his own?Marc Meakin wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 2:05 pmInterestingly, in his set Stewart Lee had a little dig at Frankie Boyle for using a team of uncredited writers. (Lee writes his own material) for his stand Up

Probably because it already exists (I was sure I'd posted an answer to this sort of question before so searched).
