Celebrities that are all round good eggs

Post by Marc Meakin »

I know I'm walking a tightrope here after saying how much I liked Lizzo (still not convicted yet) but I thought after Russell Brand, it would be nice to have a thread celebrating artists and Celebrities you admire.
I will kick off with Rick Astley who seems to be such a nice bloke his 2 Glastonbury sets were great and his set at Party in the Park at Leicester was great and his Foo Fighters cover was special.
Ive probably jinxed him now

Betty White was around before bread was commercially sliced. Sliced bread was the best thing since Betty White.
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

Mick Foley. Met him twice when he was doing stand up in Sheffield and he's as genial off-screen as he appears on-screen.

I should add the late great Alan Rickman, Met him once at a theatre bar, genuine nice bloke who gave a lot back to the theatre both in time and money

They are great people to be fair even if one is a little wooden and the other contains plastic.😊.

I do love the way they both talk, very melodic.
Dolly and Keannu are the sort of people you could never imagine losing their temper in public

From personal experience, I think Adam Hills has to be up there as one of the nicest celebs I've met.

My DC guests were lovely, too- in particular, Pat Nevin, Vick Hope and Richard Osman.

Sometimes I think Adam Hills comes across as a bit of a nob on The Last Leg.

I think this is a good thread though. Very difficult to make a judgement on someone's public persona of course.

Edit - you could name someone and end up with egg on your face.
