Post by James Robinson »

WAY AYE!!! BACK TO THE TOON WE GO!!! AND IN GRAND SURROUNDINGS TOO!!!

With the help of my Geordie assistant Tasneem Rana, we have arranged an extravaganza of an event in the magnificent surroundings of Newcastle Castle!!!

Venue:
Our venue is the Harbottle Suite in Newcastle Castle, in the middle of Newcastle city centre. The address is The Black Gate, Castle Garth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1RQ. (For a look yourselves, go here) There is lift access for people who use wheelchairs.

It is right in the middle of the city, within walking distance of Newcastle railway station.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

General Overview:
Presented by James Robinson, using the "Bristol" format and playing along with the computer graphics:

We will aim to play five 9R matches, then have 9R QF/SF, then a 14R Grand Final centrepiece. There will be groups after the first phase, and prizes will be available for the top 3 in all groups.

Prices/Rates:
CoNuT will take place on Saturday 8 July -- doors open at 10am for a 10:45-11am start, finishing at around 5:45-6pm. The admission price is set at ยฃ12. We are currently in talks with the adjoining cafe to sort us out a discounted rate for lunch. Our room has an adjoining kitchenette with tea/coffee making facilities with water available too.

We also intend on having a meal, but that is still to be sorted out.

As per usual, payments are available:
- By PayPal (https://www.paypal.me/JRTerrier7/12) (DON'T FORGET - Choose the "Family/Friends" option on payment.);

I should be able to make it to this, although can't 100% confirm at this stage. Keeping my digits crossed, would love to make it to one finally.

Is there a hotel of choice for those that have already booked? Looking at my options for this event, I intend to be there :)
