Another great game from Ronan, where the record looked on for a bit, puts him on the cusp of joining the 1000-club. According to the wiki, he's on 919 so just 81 points in his final game would do it. But with Elliott's record standing at 1061, he'd still need 142 to equal it. Just 113 to match Luke Boynton's 1032 in 2nd though.
I don't think anyone's mentioned the curse of the 1000 club before. Of the four players who have reached 1000 points in their octoruns, none of them are now unbeaten. The top two scoring players didn't even win their series. The other two did win their series but got knocked out in rounds 1 and 2 of the CoC.

As another minor record, I think 286 is the highest anybody's ever scored in two consecutive games. May have to set Graeme on that one.

Obviously a bit disappointed it didn't exactly go the way I was hoping it to in the 2nd half, but can't moan about 143 x2!
I reckon so, JUST scraping past a consecutive 285.Ben Wilson wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 6:18 pm As another minor record, I think 286 is the highest anybody's ever scored in two consecutive games. May have to set Graeme on that one.

By my reckoning only Zarte Siempre (150+137) and Luke Boynton (147+141) have ever scored more in two non-consecutive gamesBen Wilson wrote: ↑Thu May 25, 2023 6:18 pm As another minor record, I think 286 is the highest anybody's ever scored in two consecutive games.
