What an absolute cracker of a game this has been.... this was the second ever episode in 15-round history that both players scored points in every non-conundrum round; the first being Giles Hutchings and Dylan Taylor that was also a Championship of Champions semi-final, then Dylan went on and won the Champion of Champions XIV.
Firstly congratulations to Ahmed for an amazing game and a 14 maxer ! he now earns the right play James Haughton in Fridays final
Secondly commiserations to Dan Byrom who put in an admirable performance and a 13 maxer he can hold his head high and be proud of what he has achieved in his countdown career
This contest is certainly worthy of a grand final, it is so sad that somebody has to lose
