Sports you would like to see.

Post by Marc Meakin »

This could be a very short thread but let's see.
I would like to see a gymnastic high jump.
Essentially the same as normal high jump but using a spring board and somersault for gaining height.

As we're doing high jump variants - high jump but where you break through laser beams rather than go over a bar, so it can tell how high you jumped. So it would be more like the long jump in that you just jump a certain number of times and highest jump wins.

I always thought that a track decathlon would be tough.
10 running distances from 100 metres to a marathon over 3 or 4 days.

Also professional mixed football with players from both (am I allowed to use both in this context?) genders on the same team

There probably is no reason why all team sports can't have a mixed element

Instead of bikes, pedal car racing. But on tightish tracks so there's still a driving skill element.

Edit - A bit like this but at a professional level.

Basically how I played cricket in our communal playground when we was kids.

The first time I played with a real cricket ball I nearly broke my hand

Kabaddi seems like a badass version of British Bulldog and is a real sport.
Mike Brown: "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U

C1: SIGNATURE (18) ["9; not written down"]
C2: SEATING (7)
Score: 108–16 (max 113)

Another niner for Adam and yet another century. Well done, that man."
