Odd that you'd need to communicate this way considering that all your posts come from the same IP address, which means you almost certainly live at the same residential address.Callum Peters wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 8:24 pmIt was my mum who told me to ask you Grampa. I was all ready to jump in with a That's Not How This Works, but to my surprise it turns out that multiple ISP subscribers sharing the same public IPv4 address at the same time is in fact a thing which is/has been used by some ISPs.Martin Peters wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 9:24 pmHe lives down the road 2 doors down across the road so it will be the same IP as it’s for a street.Ben Wilson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 9:23 pmOdd that you'd need to communicate this way considering that all your posts come from the same IP address, which means you almost certainly live at the same residential address.Callum Peters wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 8:24 pm

It's a much-criticised technology (someone else downloads something illegal, the police show up at your door) and it seems to be used mainly on mobile networks rather than home internet connections. So while I can't outright call this a lie, I can certainly roll my eyes in a cynically disbelieving way.

Or, you can admit that this is clearly a load of nonsense, and save yourself the embarrassment (further to the embarrassment you are already bestowing upon yourself).
