Discuss anything that happened in recent games. This is the place to post any words you got that beat Dictionary Corner, or numbers games that evaded Rachel.

Thank you, Mark.
Are there any comments available yet about yesterday's broadcast = Monday 8th, please ?
Also can there in future be (not exactly = a spoiler) be any indications, for us ordinary
television viewers, about exactly how many episodes a reigning champion has had to
face relating to recordings in one 'real' Countdown day....not this
'have a good weekend' business in the studio timewarp.
Thinking really about signs of contestant-exhaustion and whether the
schedule should be more forgiving and allowing for personal winding-down
(or more caffeine ?) time,
in the quest for octochampdom.
Finally; where does the information come from, as time goes by,
regarding whether phrases which used to be hyphenated or separate words
are now officially 'oneword' correct answers for Countdown purposes...
tea bag = teabag ??
Cheers from Neil B.

There's 1 DC guest per recording day. So new DC guest = new recording day (generally 5 recordings per day).

The Countdown dictionary is OED - free version here - and there's rules about plurals etc.

Sometimes things are open to interpretation, in which case Susie gets the final say!

Well worth going along to watch a filming if you do get the opportunity - interesting to see how it all hangs together.

I thought larper might be valid in one of the rounds, but it's not in. What is the book "Larpers and Shroomers" about if not words? SHROOMER is a valid word though.

I also pondered Larper too, but LARP is an abbreviation apparently and has not yet made the transition to becoming lower case....

Thank you, Fiona
for the information. That will keep me busy for a while !
Just noticed that I am now averaging just over one post here per year so far....
Still a Newbie = a good reflection of my name as well.
With each DC guest I do like to see them making a personal effort
to get a good word from the letters, as well as the usual chat interval.
There are no stats available on their contributions, I suppose,
and whether that leads to them being invited back ?
