A Frank Mulvey v Will D Downing special needs to happen. I only discovered this forum and the wiki as a result of wondering exactly when Downing's game had taken place, as I could still remember it so well.

Really shocked to discover you only joined in October 2013. Thought you'd been around forever.Fred Mumford wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 10:45 pm A Frank Mulvey v Will D Downing special needs to happen. Austin Shin is the first name that comes to mind, he could easily be up there as a top player if he applied himself on apterous. That said though there are plenty of top players who haven't got around to their first chances yet *cough* MB *cough* RF *cough*

I think James Rowan was unlucky to lose to a Hansforded conundrum on his only appearance.

Haha oops. Not a good sign when you can't even spell a two-letter word. Still no idea on yours though.

Re: Who would you like to see get a second or third chance on Countdown ?
Ciaran McCarthy
Adam Curran
James Rowan
Mark Perrett
Wendy Cooke (she's was a better player than her score suggests)
and slightly different: I think a deciding match between Bradley and Tom CC should happen, and maybe a few other "one-offs".

I believe he turned down such an opportunity, but nevertheless Jonny Rye deserved another go. Impressive and entertaining as George Ford's Countdown career proved to be, it was basically launched by administrative error.
