Daily Mirror shitposting. It was never good, but somehow, them, the Mail (cricket articles aside), and the Express have somehow got even worse recently.

I happened to be the contestant in the Five Words, Five Grand section on The Dave Berry Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio this morning.

You can see how I did here, go to 19:45.

Keep plugging away. Have you tried for Impossible? They are a great bunch of people, plus it's a very winnable show and you get up to five chances to win the daily ten grand jackpot.

Seen a few on 15 to 1 to recently. Nick Hall is on today, another former player Kate Strang won her show and one of Bradley Horrocks' prelim opponents Leah Holroyd made the final 3. Could be more...

Martin Hurst's original vanquisher and Quarter Finalist Robert (Rob) Jones, was on Radio 2's Popmaster quiz today. He got to the final round with an impressive 33/39 pts but could only name 2 out of 3 J Lo hits in the 10 seconds required...

Was it a repeat ?
You was certainly one of the best contestants I've seen recently , personality wise.
I got the last question right because I've been to Singapore and they don't have a racetrack.
Well not in 1986 at least.

Why thank you! It was a repeat, initially shown March 2016. No idea it was going to be shown until someone spotted it and told me. In hindsight, Singapore is far too small to have its own full race track, but I only had enough time to think "WHERE THE HELL IS MONACO" about three times before having to pull something out. Ah well, no regrets.

Was the reference to Willie Thorne being a world snooker champion some kind of piss take, 25 years after Baddiel and Skinner used to mercilessly mock him on Fantasy Football?

New BBC One daytime quiz show, The Tournament, starts 8 November at 2:15 on BBC One, and runs for 5 weeks. Shireen Ahmed appeared on 16 November and is available to watch on iPlayer. If she doesn’t win the whole show, she gets one more chance in the following episode (as do all other eliminated contestants) on 17 November.

Mike Brown: "Round 12: T N R S A E I G U

Graham Nash was on The 1% Club on Saturday 21st May 2022. He made it all the way to the second to last round, but got a relatively easy question wrong and so didn't make it to the final question. p.s. I still haven't forgiven him for beating Julian Fell.

Cheers, was well good to do. Also a mention that my good mate (and Series 58 finalist) Richard Priest was on it too.

And he was actually a late replacement for another darts player who unfortunately got COVID less than 48 hours before filming.

I've always (well, once, just now) wondered whether the BBC split the money between all team members including the reserve as policy, or do they leave the team to sort it out amongst themselves?

In 2022, university student Tom Stevenson scored a record 154 points on what TV show, not losing a single round?
