Great score, Noel -- your average is 100+ and you're once again on track to join the Club!
EALDORMAN as a beater (I believe the only one of the day) in the last letters round.

I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

I was surprised that Rachel seemed to think that you had to use pi to work out whether two 10-inch pizzas or one 15-inch pizza is bigger. Unless she was just playing along to allow Martin Lewis his moment of glory. Even he overcomplicated it though. The area is proportional to the either the radius or the diameter squared. Dividing the diameter by two was a complete n00b's move. 15 squared is much easier to work out than 7.5 squared.
I mean, seriously though - who hasn't spent time in pizza restaurants working out the relative sizes of pizzas, like when deciding whether to share a larger a pizza or have a smaller one on your own?
(I haven't. I'd just have the large one to myself, but I do at least work these things out.)

I'd rather assumed that financial education in schools might go to rather greater depth than working out this sort of thing. Mind you, the fact that Susie and Nick had no idea (and both got it wrong) would suggest otherwise.
