Re: You Are The Judge
Really you should have set it up so that half the forum could see one version and one half could see the other. Now that you've put it up as a direct comparison, people know it's some sort of trick so they won't fall for it (whatever it is).JimBentley wrote:More viewpoints please.
But basically, I don't see why one crime is particularly worse than the other. The fact that one guy is drunk doesn't really make any difference, nor that he's got money unless there's evidence that the money's stolen. Obviously the police should look into where that money might have come from.
As for sentencing, I'm happy to trust the judgement of our great Prime Minister, but since he'd be too busy himself to do it, I'd get them sentenced by some of his finest allies in Saudi Arabia.

I know, but it's a first go. Next one will be better.Gavin Chipper wrote:(excellent points that don't need repeating)JimBentley wrote:More viewpoints please.
Incidentally, the first picture isn't meant to look like Jon (Corby) but it's quite funny that it does. I know it's not cool to make yourself laugh but I did laugh at that. Anyway, carry on!

I don't see how either of them can be anything but guilty. How you go about prosecution and sentencing would differ though you'd think.

Is there a point here we're missing?

I don't understand either. A judge can do nothing until there's been a trial. My judgement would be that I need more information.

It always has, it's an animated gif, you silly. I'm going to change it soon anyway.Matt Morrison wrote:Jim I just scrolled up and I swear your avatar winked at me.
There wasn't to start with but it's given me an idea for something else, so the answer to that is...possibly.Innis Carson wrote:Is there a point here we're missing?

Re: You Are The Judge
Cheers Graeme, I'd not seen that before. I wonder why stuff like this isn't more widely publicised? Or maybe it is and I just miss it. Anything like this - whether it's made by the government or some other organisation - that promotes discussion has got to be a good thing, so long as it doesn't favour one side over the other. I've not been through all the scenarios on that site yet but it seems fair-minded enough so far, although I wonder what happens to the results?Graeme Cole wrote:http://ybtj.justice.gov.uk/
