More like started 30 years too early. I'm turning into my Dad, who mostly only pipes up if there's a cheesy pun to be had. I think it's brilliant though :)

I am so glad that chat happened after seeing what the conundrum turned out to be. Too bad I missed it, would've been a real toot.

Just been looking back over my first day on apterous (I'm so clueless!) and this line jumped out at me:

2010-02-10 23:45:08 Kirk Bevins says:
fucking hell, you've been playing all day adam

He wasn't exaggerating. Now people are used to it and don't express the same shock.

In the early hours of this morning (1.28 am), it took a group of Apterites 2 minutes 12 seconds to get from 'penis' (5 letters) to 'precautions' (11 letters) by taking it in turns to add a letter. I nominate this for Stemming Game of the Week ;)

Mediocre one to accompany:

Thomas Carey and The Guardian missed a 9 from TERACATOG; can you spot it?
The 9 from TERACATOG was GREATCOAT!
22 seconds later
Andrew Feist and Paul Duxbury missed a 9 from RATOGECAT; can you spot it?
The 9 from RATOGECAT was GREATCOAT!
Andrew Feist says: maybe I should look over here sometimes
cheers maus

Coincidence of timing. I had been referring to something Dennis Taylor had just said on the telly, ironically.

I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

I really hope noone has kept this morning's log. Note to self, DO NOT google words you are not familiar with, especially not when in the office, and even more so when someone in chat says "have you tried googling it?". Apterous deserves a soapy mouth for one of its teasers...
