Spoilers For Monday February 3rd 2014
So, we're now into February, and like the start of last week, we could have our first octochamp of the series.
But, this time, it could be Andy Gardner, who is 3 wins to the good, although he has some tight finishes in all 3 of his games. Can he maintain his winning streak and reach the promised land of octochampdom on Friday
Impressionist Jon Culshaw makes a welcome return in DC.
Andy McGurn will return to the Monday recaps today. Join him later.

Wow! A sleepy early morning recording for sure. Even Susie and Jon offered invalid MONGERS instead of REMOUNTS etc.

Managed 2 away on 981 - ((8x2)+4)x50-25+4 unlike the first numbers with many ways to be exact.

I think even Rachel realized that EMULATING was about to come up for 9 .... until the contestant chose a consonant instead of a vowel. Doh!Tony Atkins wrote:An 8 missed in MALTING+UN selection.

Re: Spoilers For Monday February 3rd 2014
Alt 982 = (25-4-2) x 50 + (8x4). I thought the challenger was going to do that but he added the 6 to the 25 instead. Andy started this way but added the 2 to the 50!
Think I spotted a fish in the remounts+g round for 8 - comes up a lot but rarely gets mentioned.

Final numbers (100/25) x 10. Add 9. X10. Add 8.

Indeed, I got STURGEON.Philip Wilson wrote:Think I spotted a fish in the remounts+g round for 8 - comes up a lot but rarely gets mentioned.
That was my method, which meant I had an imperfect MAX GAME, but hey-ho, on good form again.Tony Atkins wrote:Managed 2 away on 981 - ((8x2)+4)x50-25+4 unlike the first numbers with many ways to be exact.
AGAMIDS in round 4.
Very nice method, Jayne. Mine too. (Actually the only method for that one. )Jayne Wisniewski wrote:Final numbers (100/25) x 10. Add 9. X10. Add 8.
