I agree with this and am making the case for such. The theatre is, however, really quite small. SO it's proving a tough sell.

Yes, but that would happen irrespective of whether those leaving got a refund.

It seems we're going to stream the entire thing, because people keep asking us to.

This time next week, we'll be part way through hour 21 and probably ready to kill each other, so annoyed with each other will we be. Please support us in this exercise into mutual hatred!

While we're on the topic of charity game show marathons, I thought I'd bring up another one coming up soon in America. They've only had three donors so far (one of which is me), so hopefully you guys can contribute...

As for the Countdown marathon, I might pitch in. Where is it going to be streamed?

Graeme has rigged up a scoring system that will function essentially the same as Aptospeccing. Bloody love Graeme.

It's conditional on them being able to access the internet from the venue, something which isn't known yet. If it turns out they can, then I'll link to it when the event's started.

Who will have the honour of recapping this beast? Also, will there only be one conundrum?
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

I have a question. Will the website link also automatically archive the rounds? So lets say i tune in at the two-hours-played stage, can i see the previous rounds too? I realise I'm probably sounding quite demanding or annoying here but it would be a cool addition that apto-spectating doesn't have

Zarte will be entering the round details into a computer. This gets written out to a file. Another program periodically checks the file and uploads it when it changes. You'll be able to see it on a web page, which checks for updates automatically. All being well, there will be no more than 15 seconds between Zarte confirming the round details on his computer and you seeing it on the web page, so it's semi-live. You should see the selection for the current round come up separately, too.

Andy: yes, the whole game will be available. The web page normally only shows the last ten rounds, but you can click a link to show the whole game.

I believe the format is LLLN (or possibly LLLLN) repeated for 25 hours, then one conundrum at the end which has been provided by Damian.

That's the plan, although Damian never actually said he'd do that. Then again, he never said he wouldn't. I'll ask again.

Oh and it'll be LLLLN, so that numbers picks will alternate. When I typed LLLN earlier, that was a typo.

Yep, I'll be hanging around in London beforehand from about 5pm until 8, so if you or anyone else is up for meeting up with me and possibly Zarte for a while it would be much welcomed. Midnight to 8am on Saturday morning works for me too!

Have fun guys, enjoy yourselves and hopefully you aren't too ruined by it. We respect you shit loads for doing this.

Will try and keep tabs on the game as I actually have tomorrow and the day after off work - would loved to have come and helped or watched or some shit if I wasn't moving house.

PS did you get the conundrum sorted?

PPS Graeme can you stick a simplistic IRC chat in the spec window? Cheers babe <3

So just to clarify, what time tomorrow do the 25 hours start? Of course, I'm in America, so it will be five hours earlier for me...

No love for the American 24 Hour Game Show Marathon I mentioned earlier? They're doing Countdown as one of their games (along with 23 other game shows, most of which they haven't decided on yet).
