David Barnard won yesterday against a strong opponent to boot, can he do something similar today? Perhaps one interested spectator is Grant Waters, as a loss from David ensures his place in the finals.

David must turn his hand to Scrabble.
R3 BOARDINGS* fine in Scrabble. He had MOPPIEST* yesterday - again fine in Scrabble.
ADSORBING good but... SIGNBOARD ?!
Glad to see they avoided my favourite LEIPOAS* in round 9!!
Round 12: MEDALIST* (Again OK in Scrabble) allowed with two Ls in OED3!! I should have stuck with MISDEALT!!

DIASTOLE as well as SODALITE and ISOLATED in round 12. Saw 643 in the first numbers game way out of time: ((100/50)+75)x8+25+3 = 644.
Well played again David, unlucky with BOARDINGS, I went for that too.

LOAMIEST as an alt to DIASTOLE/SODALITE & ISOLATED in R12
I did the 2nd numbers as:
(100+25)x 7 = 875; (1+4)x6 = 30; 875+30 = 925.
