Suzi Purcell keeps on winning, although yesterday's win was not the highest scoring. Can she get the 6th win today? It seems very likely today that win or lose, she'll end up in the number 5 spot, because all she needs to do is score 15 points to move ahead of Mark Murphy. Jon Culshaw continues to make an impression in the corner, perhaps today he'll do an impression of Jon Corby.

Last numbers game
50-1+(6x4)=73
(9+2) = 11
73 x 11= 803
50-1+(6x4)=73
(9+2) = 11
73 x 11= 803

Well done John, I only made that out of time, but did the second one ((8+4)x(75+6))+6=978 which is half way to Rachel's method.John Garcia wrote:Last numbers game

Otherwise only got some alts to the boring 6s, eg MANURE to MANNER, and learnt some new stems eg TRAINED+U=INDURATE.
Nice to see the clock going up - when it resets, as you declare your answer, it whirs quite loudly which is slightly
disturbing when you are in the chair. They must have a filter on the sound system not to pck it up.

I think CORRIDAS was there for a DC beater in one of the rounds (but may be wrong as nobody has mentioned it!)

SOLITUDE in round 1, SAGAMORE in round 8 and URINATED in round 11. I was also pretty pleased with SARCOID in round 7 before I came here.
Any one else think that the conundrum was too difficult for a heat game? I was nowhere near it so well done to Suzi for solving it.

I got the conundrum straight away and I'm usually not great at them so on that evidence it wasn't a stinker!

TENTAGE in round 12.
I liked Jon Culshaw's bit today where they used the left-hand side of the clock for what must be the first time ever. Took me a while to get the "bonus conundrum" that accompanied it though, I was looking for one word.
Also, Suzi deserves to go on to win eight. MEGASTAR was a great spot.

Glad Suzi will be in the finals, it has to be said that her last couple of opponents haven't been much good but she does come up with some great spots and conundrums.
