It's time again. It seems the crude budweiser sponsorship has disappeared and the shirt icons are 3d. Who's back in?
Have we got a code to enter?

The administrator (Morrison I think) has to be reactivate the league and then you can just reactivate your participation without the code. Any newbies will need the code though and i'm not sure if the code remains the same as last year. Matthew will know as he is wise beyond this thread. Stand by for further instructions

I just tried to do this for you James but it won't let me get to the game without setting up a team etc. and I'm fucking sick of fantasy football and don't want to play - so you'll have to set up a new league, sorry.

Aw. Won't be the same without you Matt. Okie doke, new code for new league, 31864-44914. As the only team in it so far, my boys, AC Me Langer, are clear favourites.

Nice new feature that it shows the players next opponent and venue under their shirt on your team sheet.

I've joined up. Will you be making a head-to-head league too? If so, count me in.

It asked me if I wanted to put in any knockout rounds (gave the option of 1-3). Good idea? Bad Idea? I chose none.

I tried to get a discussion started on the league forum, but messed up the first post, then corrected it with my second post, then realised I could delete both of those posts, but it ended up as 3 posts, 2 of which had been deleted. Anyway, I hope my vomit-coloured shorts win me the title of ugliest kit.

Finally getting a chance to mess with my team. I believe the site was down for a good while. Hope that didn't catch anyone out. Last call for anyone who doesn't want to miss the first boat. Or then you could be ultra cool and join next week and still beat everyone. Anyone care to reveal any top tips? I'm looking at you Oliver :? . That's my tip for this years title looking at the current line up anyway. May as well at least try to jinx you I suppose. I mean, dude's working for opta, like.

EDIT: Not forgetting Paul of course, who blew us all away last year. Well done by the way Paul, awesome going and best of luck folks. I'm quite excited that the football is back, but for the first time ever now that Scholes has retired and Giggs is a proven love rat, I think they're all a big shower of overpaid knob jockeys. I shall not contribute a penny towards them, aside from helping the local publican pay his sky and espn subscriptions, that is.

Yeah, seems I was lucky enough to be up late last night. Couldn't get in at all this morning to give the team a last look, couldn't even remember who I had to be honest. James Doohan had been logged in all night and site was working fine for himself so it must have just been a capacity issue. I'd imagine there are a lot of people who were caught out anyway, if it's any consolation.

I'm liking the quicker access to the different functions on the new site, but, now that I've finally been able to see my team, I'm still trying to find the tab that will show me how they are scoring. Maybe it's unavailable for now due to the high number of users or something?

Haha, not likely - expect me to finish somewhere mid-table. Regarding the article, I was working with Matt (the guy interviewed) in the editorial department during my week at Opta.

Not seen the scores yet, but I'm quite happy with my opening score of over 40 points. No idea how that fits with everyone else, although I think I picked the wrong captain somehow.

I'm pretty chuffed that my defence/goalie all kept clean sheets. Being C4C's sole female FF representative isn't going too badly so far 8-)

I got over 40 too but I have two Everton players still due points when they play. Happy enough tough, but yeah, need to change captain.

Yeah, they played two games in the opening gameweek due to them playing in the Super Cup thingy last Friday. I used my wildcard as I had three Chelsea players (Torres, Cech and A Cole) but will be transferring Hazard in (if hes fit after the international break). Davies of Swansea has potential to be a good pick at only 4m as Neil Taylor (Swansea left back) is out for the season and hes their reserve left back. I plan to bring in him and Hazard for Skrtel and Sessegnon.

I had to take out Valencia for Hazard unlike Sessegnon as I planned, putting my plans back by about a week. Bit of a risky swap given Manchester United's fixture so I hope it doesn't come back to bite me.

I thought the two most recent round of matches were in the same gameweek for some reason. Would have put Van Persie as captain for midweek instead of Defoe had I realised.
