I imagine Declan couldn't believe his luck when both of these blind guesses turned out to be good, especially as the meanings are not at all what you'd expect. Unless he's a "words which look like agent nouns but aren't" specialist, of course.DaveC wrote: R13: R G I U S L P E R

They don't always record five programmes in one session, Jason. Sometimes it's only four, as was the case on the day when Graham Cole's appearances as guest were recorded. On Thursday 4th September's episode it was mentioned on a number of occasions that it was the last of Graham's stint.Jason Larsen wrote:Where was Graham Cole today?

Shit, another perfect game. If this sounds like outright boasting on my part well that's because it totally is (though yes I know the rounds were a little flat). Btw I have only just twigged that DebbieF, the forum member, is the current champ. All the best to you, good to see a woman (trying not to be sexist or patronising and failing) setting a high standard on the show.

Thanks David,
She came, she saw - oh well, at least she tried!

Always great to see a woman of octochamp material on the show. I do hope you make it to the finals - you deserve to.
I know I'm not jinxing things, since you'll have already finished your games, obviously.

Do you know what Graham is up to now?
Re: [20080905] Friday's game, 5th September 2008, S59 G35
Presumably back to his role on 'The Bill', which is a British TV police 'soap'. You may have gathered this from some of his anecdotes, although I don't watch it myself.Jason Larsen wrote:Do you know what Graham is up to now?

Yes
The Bill is one of the longest-running detective shows in Britain. It is one of the few TV shows that has never, ever changed its theme song.
And ironically, I heard him mention Noel Edmonds in one episode!

Hiyo,
I recall an occasion where a band on stage became aware that there were plain clothes police in amongst the crowd. They promptly announced it then "dedicated a couple of tunes to them", they did The Bill followed by the Crimewatch theme. Two men.... (not Elvis)... left the building.
