What exactly did Whiteley do here? Did he spell it out? If he "phonetically" read it, Foster would have had no way of knowing if he meant NAZELIFUN or NASELIFUN or NAZOLOFUN or whatever.James Robinson wrote:For the conundrum, Richard Whiteley phonetically read out the anagram for Richard Foster a second before the reveal.

I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

I don't know what happened in this episode, but I do remember watching this other one. Alison Moore was partially sighted. Richard simply pronounced "TEN MATTER" while starting the clock, after explaining to viewers that this is what they were going to do and that Alison was happy with it. Perhaps for this later episode they'd deliberately chosen a conundrum scramble which was unambiguous when pronounced.Johnny Canuck wrote:What exactly did Whiteley do here? Did he spell it out? They could have had a piece of braille made up by the production team, and someone would have to hide behind the desk covering it up until the time was appropriate.
