Re: David Wilson on Mastermind
What was his specialist subject?
I remember applying for mastermind, but once I received the application form, they ask for 4 subjects to be classed as your specialist subjects and I couldn't think of 4, so I didn't apply in the end .

By happy coincidence I had an audition for Mastermind this Thursday just gone in Brummieland. Didn't do too badly but it remains to be seen if I'll male the cut...

Sorry, I have no idea what his specialist subject was on. I'm quite forgetful.

#1 looks about 90% certain to be Futurama. My other two are Lincoln Cathedral and Van Halen (I'm nothing if not eclectic in my tastes). My back-up subject is Red Dwarf.

Futurama and Red Dwarf... Nice. They would be two of mine if I was remotely interested in applying.

I agree that the obvious choice would be a cartoon, but for me it would be Family Guy.ben_wilson wrote:#1 looks about 90% certain to be Futurama. My other two are Lincoln Cathedral and Van Halen (I'm nothing if not eclectic in my tastes). My back-up subject is Red Dwarf.

I applied several years ago. I had an audition but didn't get on. I found it wasn't so much thinking of subject ideas, but having them accepted by the producers. You are required to list sources of material, but I don't think every subject will necessarily have had books printed. Anyway, surely it is the job of the researchers to find material.
