Return of the Awesome Dudes

Any recaps from older series should be posted here. This forum is unlikely to contain spoilers, but recaps may contain "forward references" if they are written much later, so approach with caution.

All done.

My next block will be 1st August - 22nd August (9 Episodes) and 8th September - 22nd September 2000 (11 Episodes).

The gap inbetween has already been sorted by David Williams, as they are his episodes.

I've lost track of who reserved the 6 missing ones from Series 45, but I think we can consider these reopened:

Mon 13-Aug-01 Brenda Dunn 41 - 57 Craig Richardson
Tue 14-Aug-01 Craig Richardson 33 - 31 Edwin Mead
Wed 15-Aug-01 Craig Richardson 53 - 40 Bill Brakes
Fri 7-Sep-01 Mary Blair 31 - 33 Mac McDonald
Fri 14-Sep-01 Geraldine Hylands 45 - 16 Sue Oldreive
Mon 17-Sep-01 Geraldine Hylands 37 - 36 Fred Clark

Jack Hurst did the top 3. I just don't think he databased them.

There's quite a good bit of Series 43 to do. I think there's around another 20 after the 20 I'm doing at the moment.

I think there are still a few more series after this to do as well. So plenty to get on with Oliver, if you're interested. ;) :) :D

James, thank you so much - what a star you are. Some eejit gas worker drilled straight through our telephone cable and it's taken them until this afternoon to put it back on.

I'll do some more if someone can clarify what's going on - is RB doing all those from series 42? I'm only going to volunteer a week at a time tho, to make sure it gets done. Maybe if you nominate a week at a time that'll be easier, Robert, so people can see what's available to avoid duplication.

That's rich considering that you have just seemlessly booked all of Series 42 for YOURSELF :!:

If you read the start, you'll have seen that it was very popular at the start, but popularity just seemed to wane unsurprisingly.

Normally I'd agree, but shit like PMing loads of people (which he's done before) really isn't on.

Since you asked nicely, albeit in ungrammaticised French, the answer is yes.

I'll take the next 21. That's all of February 2000.
Done.

Mr. Baxter seems to have discreetly booked the first 3 games in March, so I'll take the rest of March, which, by coincedence is another 20 episodes. ;) :) :D  8-)

Bargain. To maximize your Likes, you should book them in blocks of one. But don't actually do that or I might think you're a nob.

I'll take some of these if you want? I could do some earlier 90's ones as I have access to a COD8 but I'll carry on Series 41 if you wish.

Hi, anyone from the Wiki will remember me; I'd like to claim a few episodes.

First of all, provided I can do the series out of order (as it seems I'm allowed to, seeing as Jacob Sutton is taking Series 25)... I'll book the first two weeks of Series 28 (9 episodes):

Tue 5-Jul-94 Sharon Bridge 51 - 41 Justin Parry
Wed 6-Jul-94 Sharon Bridge 56 - 36 Linda Harvey
Thu 7-Jul-94 Sharon Bridge 55 - 44 Dave Wheatley
Fri 8-Jul-94 Sharon Bridge 59 - 24 Annette Bennett
Mon 11-Jul-94 Sharon Bridge 63 - 21 Mike Brunt
Tue 12-Jul-94 Emanuele 'Spud' Grillo 43 - 42 Anne Filer
Wed 13-Jul-94 Emanuele 'Spud' Grillo 31 - 59 Damian Eadie
Thu 14-Jul-94 Richard Hendron 46 - 63 Damian Eadie
Fri 15-Jul-94 Jennifer Cook 38 - 57 Damian Eadie

Also, I'd love to do some episodes from Series 33 (COC8 and SC, doesn't matter); if the scans for those are available, could they be uploaded next :?:

Thanks.
Johnny

Might have something interesting. :?

I've just been tidying up the database and adding some missing entries. We now have a complete Series 44 except for one episode, which is free to the first bidder:

Mon 5-Feb-01 Tim Robinson 49 - 35 Lorraine Gordon

We also have a complete Series 43 except for the weird Brandreth/Nyman/Brand/Eadie special, which I think Mike didn't scan yet.

And of course we're making rapid progress through the other series. So good work, guys!

PS To those who never add their recaps to the database: please start! The password is dolomite and your name should be on the list already.

When I submit a recap it makes a second entry for that episode; does this always happen or is it down to my incompetence?

That's meant to happen, the old entries get cleaned up later.

I've already done that, because the episode was put onto YouTube a bit ago.

I think I didn't put it on, because of the 2 players per side thing wondering what would happen there.

Oh, I'm pretty sure you are.

By the way, if anyone doing older recaps (applicable to Series 20 - 30) doesn't have a physical COD8 to check the OT's with, there's a PDF version here. Fairly sure this was posted a long while back but thought I'd refresh your memory.
