Having watched Ben Wilson win the series and then win my first game, it was time to play Terry McHugh from Coventry next game.

Good game this with a couple of good spots but definitely not my favourite. People still quote me on GASOLINE even now. This Terry as well was a very good player but really fell behind on a couple of obscure spots. Definitely capable of winning at least a few.
Probably the second tallest ever series finalist.

Nice review - I enjoyed playing along. The max should be 113 here as I did it (75-50)x25+2

Ah I remember this, you said "I'll try a five" and Richard (Whiteley) replied "what, down to trying a five?" Reminds me of a recent Apterous game when I was forced to risk EXINE because my opponent declared five. In my head I was saying "a risky five" as well.
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

You could just read the solution off the recap, if you like!
