Enjoy the show. It’s Wear Pink day so Rachel gets quizzed on pink things and uses that opportunity to trash Huddersfield FC.

Round 6: C G S A O L U Y F

C1: FLAGS (5)
C2: FOALS (5)
OT: OSCULA (6)
Score: 29–31 (max 55)

The osculum (plural OSCULA) is an excretory structure in the living sponge, a large opening to the outside through which the current of water exits after passing through the spongocoel. Wastes diffuse into the water and the water exits through the osculum at a velocity of nearly 8.4 cm/second, carrying away with it the sponge's wastes. The size of the osculum is regulated by the myocyte. Its size, in turn, determines the amount of water flowing through the sponge. Thanks Wikipedia.

Round 7: N R P I U B A D E

C1: BURPED (6)
C2: UNBRAID (7)

C1: 855. (10+9-1-1)*50+5 (7)
C2: 855. (10+9-1-1)*50+5 (7)

C1: HONEST (6)
C2: DONATES (7)
DC: STONED (6)
OT: HANDSET (7)
Score: 43–67 (max 106)

DC: GAITER (6) EROTICA (7)

C1: 827. (50+2)*(10+6)-(6-1) (10)
C2: 831.
Score: 65–73 (max 131)

...and he beats Amy to the numbers and thus takes it all the way to crucials...

Round 15: C I T E D A V I D

C2 buzzes on 4 seconds to say DEACTIVATED which is incorrect.
C1 buzzes on 28 seconds to just press the buzzer and give himself 20 extra seconds which is incorrect (etiquette).
The answer was ADDICTIVE.
Final Score: 65–73 (max 141)

...which, despite him giving himself 50 seconds (admittedly it probably wasn’t deliberate) to solve it in, he can’t find it.

So, despite Amy seeing 11 letters on that conundrum...

DAVE HAS LOST!

...and the ten-day reign of the Boyles has been ended.

Join Graeme on Monday to see if the House of Gilbert can reign on.

Also, the top row of the INCORRECT conundrum board didn’t say CITEDAVID, it just said CONUNDRUM.

Score: 65-73
Raw: 91-83
RAUNSWC: 91-90
Maxes: 1-1

Some weird figures there, wouldn’t you agree?
