Hey! I apologise for today's lack of commentary. Although that's probably a good thing. I calculated I have 14 hours worth of TV to catch up on so that's the reason for my sluggishness.

Jayne Wisniewski is looking very good in the champion's chair and is sure to be in the finals when November time comes round. She can reinforce this today though by winning her 7th show.

Kate Bronsdon is from Essex and once went on a blind date to the opening match of the 1966 World Cup.

Enjoy the show.

Jayne looked impressively strong today. A great score just shy of the century mark and easily dismissed the challenge of Kate. The fact that Kate scored 0 points on the numbers games was probably her downfall today. Jayne is on the verge of octochampdom...find out if she can do it tomorrow.

Looks like someone forgot to hit the OT button............

3 7's available here: ANTBEAR, TANPURA and another one that I've forgotten, at the moment.

So total max at the end should be 142.

Must be a candidate for best word ever. A totally obscure word from a most unpromising selection of letters. Amazing.

Interesting declaration by Damian, mind. Wonder if he didn't know it and thought it was some kind of French verb that had made it into dictionary.

It looks like it should be a rude word to me.

Ha, clearly no-one posting in this thread plays much Aegilops on apterous. Yes, CUNJEVOI is a fairly regular max in that variant... so I've also seen the word many times. [brag] Hence I spotted that 9 instantly, probably as Damian did. Very much a case of if you know the word, it practically leaps out at you.[/brag]
