Enjoy the show.

Round 1: R E N S O N V E T

C1: TENNERS (7)
C2: TENNERS (7)
DC: TENONERS (8)
Score: 7–7 (max 8)

Nice opening, DC get the darren.

Round 2: X T D O E N U N I

C1: UNTIED (6)
C2: UNITED (6)
DC: INTONED (7)
OT: UNTONED (7)
Score: 13–13 (max 15)

This looks like it could be a close contest.

Round 3: G E R D O W A Y B

C1: DOWAGER (7)
C2: beardo
DC: WORDAGE (7) (JS)
Score: 20–13 (max 22)

First time a contestant gets the max, and the lead.

Round 4: R M L I E A F O N

C1: FORMAL (6)
C2: FOREMAN (7)
DC: FORMALIN (8)
OT: INFORMAL (8) RIFLEMAN (8)
Score: 20–20 (max 30)

Did it strike anyone else as odd that they missed INFORMAL with the words they got?
Cillian brings the scores even with his 7.
FORMALIN is a chemical.

Round 5: 100, 6, 10, 2, 8, 1. Target: 246.

C1: 246. (10+6+8-1+100)*2 (10)
C2: 246. ((100-1)*2)+(6*8) (10)
Score: 30–30 (max 40)

Good numbers solve from both of them (I missed it  )

DC guest time: Jon fails to memorise pi.

Teatime teaser: EELTROUT -> ROULETTE
Clue: Eel and trout are the fish, but this is all about the chips.

Round 6: L T C E A L I S E

C1: LACIEST (7)
C2: ELASTIC (7)
DC: CELESTIAL (18)

Nine! ;)

C1: CERTAIN (7)
C2: CATERAN (7)
DC: ERADICANT (18)
OT: CARINATED (18)
Score: 52–44 (max 84)

Double nine! ;) ;)

Round 9: S U H T E G O P S

C1: SOUGHT (6)

OT: POSHEST (7)
Score: 58–50 (max 91)

Round 10: 75, 5, 7, 6, 5, 4. Target: 330.

C1: 330. (6*5)+(75*4) (10)
C2: 330. (6*5)+(75*4) (10)
Score: 68–60 (max 101)

This numbers is a lot easier than the first one. Max is over 100 already!

Teatime teaser: DOGPARTS -> POSTGRAD

Round 11: N I D P A R I G U

C1: PAIRING (7)
C2: RAIDING (7)
DC: IGUANID (7)
OT: DRAPING (7) PINGUID (7) PRIDING (7)
Score: 75–67 (max 108)

The only round with more than 3 maxes.

Round 12: T R S A E L O A F

C1: FLOATERS (8)
C2: FLOATERS (8)
OT: REFLOATS (8)
Score: 83–75 (max 116)

DC got FLOATERS aswell, but they all missed REFLOATS.

Round 13: L I M S O T I K U

C1: LIMITS (6)
C2: MOIST (5)
DC: ULTIMO (6)
OT: STIMULI (7)
Score: 89–75 (max 123)

Dave chickens OUTMILKS, which I got aswell. It's not in though.
He still finds a better word than Cillian, so it's up to the numbers to decide...

Round 14: 7, 2, 7, 8, 4, 2. Target: 203.

C1: 203. ((4*7)+1)*7 (10)
C2: 206.
Score: 99–75 (max 133)

Cillian's six small backfires.
Dave is now a 7-time champ.
My method: (7*7*4)+8-(2/2)
Unlucky Cillian. He could easily have beaten someone else.

Round 15: H O M E P A G E N

C2 buzzes on 21 seconds to say MEGAPHONE which is correct.
Final Score: 99–85 (max 143)

And he does get the conundrum. 85 is a very good losing score. 143 is also a very high max.
Dave now only needs one more win, in his last prelim tomorrow. I think Rhys is recapping it.

Goodbye!

Cillian said CATERAN in the ERADICANT round.

Did DC say you can put the S on ULTIMO?.

Added, thanks.
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.
