Monday 28th September 2009 (Series 62, Prelim 51)

Countdown recap for Monday 28 September 2009.

C1: Challenger Tricia Finn.
C2: Challenger Jackie Dowdy.
DC: Susie Dent and John Inverdale.
RR: Rachel Riley.
OT: Other words or solutions.

Two brand new challengers today, it's a battle of the ladies today as we look for another champion of Countdown.

With 53 heat shows remaining before the QF's commence, there are a few current leader-boarders who will be watching with interest to see if they can hang on to their place in the top 8.

John Inverdale guests in DC as we bid to find out if Tricia will pan-Dowdy, or will Jackie FINN-ish off her challenge? Will the conundrum have multiple solutions, will the nation take up BASE jumping as a new pastime, will ANYONE in the country get the first teatime teaser, will anyone care what Rachel is wearing, will James hug Rachel and serve up another helping of Robinson's squash, will Kirk post any more DC beaters after he's blatantly ran the selection through an anagram solver?

All this and more.

Will we have two consecutive octochamps? Find out if Tricia can continue her run tomorrow courtesy of Ollie "CoLliempics" Garner.
