C1: PETTING (7)
C2: PATTING (7)
OT: ANTITYPE (8) PATIENT (7) TINTYPE (7)
Score: 7–14 (max 15)
ANTITYPE is what Clare Sudbery suffers from when she's at her PC with a small baby on her lap
No really, its precisely what it says on the tin: An opposite or contrasting type.
Round 3: P T D L E O E T O
C1: PLOTTED (7)
C2: POOTLED (7)
OT: TOOTLED is the only other 7
Score: 14–21 (max 22)
Round 4: S J M L N I E O N
C1: LEMONS (6)
C2: MELONS (6)
DC: SOLEMN (6) completes the triolet of anagrams
OT: ENJOINS (7) (MG) a ton of 6s

RR: 995. (9+4)x75+(7+3)x2 (10)
Score: 20–34 (max 39)
John talks about Most dangerous animals No# 8 and 7, which respectively are the polar bear (don't be fooled by its cute looks it'll rip your head off!) and the elephant which weighs 16 tonnes and kills over 500 people yearly, but can be warded off with loud noises or singing!
Teatime teaser: ERRSOFTY -> FORESTRY
Round 6: D S D N D O E U M
C1: SOUNDED (7)
C2: MOUNDS (6)
OT: MENUDOS (7) MOUNDED (7) (doh Lisa!)

Round 7: H S P B Z A E A R
C1: BRASH (5)
C2: SHAPER (6)
DC: PHRASE (6) ZEBRAS (6)
OT: EARBASH (7) ZAREBAS (7) (PM)
Score: 27–40 (max 53)
A ZAREBA is an enclosure of bushes or stakes protecting a campsite or village in northeast Africa or a campsite or village protected by such an enclosure. So technically you could have a zebra in your zareba!
Round 8: N G I N L S E A S
C1: leasings
C2: SINGLES (7)
DC: LEANINGS (8)
OT: GLASSINE (8) (as Junaid pointed out is the valid anagram of leasings) LINSANGS (8)
Score: 27–47 (max 61)
An unlucky gamble here by Zoe sees Lisa extend her lead
Round 9: T R S G I A E O F
C1: GAITERS (7)

DC: GOATS (5) FROGS (5) FRIGATES (8)
OT: a ton of 7s

Score: 44–64 (max 79)
Teatime teaser: ERICSASH -> CASHIERS
Round 11: R P N B Q I E A R
C1: brainer (Surely risking this was a no-brainer!)
C2: BRAIN (5)
DC: BARREN (6) RAPIER (6)
OT: REPAIR (6) RAPINE (6)
Score: 44–69 (max 85)
RAPIER is not the comparative adjective of rapey, but a long slender double-edged sword.
Round 12: W T R D T U O E A
C1: ROUTED (6)
C2: TOWARD (6)
DC: OUTDREW (7) OUTDRAW (7)

C1: SCORE (5)
C2: SCORER (6) (ouch Zoe!)
DC: ROOMERS (7)
OT: SOCCER (6) (RP) MOROSE (6) and loads of other 6s
Score: 50–81 (max 99)
Round 14: 75, 3, 9, 5, 8, 1. Target: 548.
C1: 549. (8-1)x75+3x5+9 (7)
C2: 549. same method (7)
RR: 548. (75-5)x8-9-3 (10)
Score: 57–88 (max 109)
Round 15: S T A R I S A C C
C2 buzzes on 25 seconds to say SARCASTIC which is correct.
Score: 57–98 (max 119)
So Zoe's short-lived run comes to an end but if its any consolation she's currently (albeit briefly) number one seed! A solid debut score from Lisa here, but easily beatable as she scored only 4 maxes out of 15. Even Howard armchair beat her by 48 points (and Howard's crap! If you don't believe me ask Emma) but perhaps it was just beginner's nerves and I'm sure she'll demonstrate even greater skillz tomorrow. I'd wager that she'll bag at least 3 wins anyway
Recap brought to you by Sfyris and Brown, authors of 101 things to do with your spadix.
