Ray Wilding has uploaded a Wiki recap based on what appears to be a transcript of the subtitles: https://subs.channel4.com/ebu-tt/68259_014_001_001.xml.

Looks accurate enough, so uploading a text version in this thread shortly.

Round 1: R O S L C I D U M

Mike: CLOUDS (6)
John: modular
DC: SODIUM (6) MILORDS (7)
OT: MUSCOID (7)
Score: 6–0 (max 7, jos 7)
Darren-o-meter: 0/1 (0%)

Poor start for John as he sees a phantom A and Mike takes an early lead.

Round 2: A R T E G C O D A

Mike: GRATED (6)
John: -
DC: CORDATE (7) GEODATA (7)
OT: ADROGATE (8)
Score: 12–0 (max 15, jos 14)
Darren-o-meter: 1/2 (50%)

Six more for Mike as John doesn't see anything at all. Susie and Mark get sevens, but the computer gets a darrenic eight.

Round 3: 50, 8, 2, 9, 8, 5. Target: 272.

Mike: 269. (50 + 2) × 5 + 9 (7)
John: 269. (50 + 2) × 5 + 9 (7)
RR: 272. (8 − 2 + 50) × 5 − 8 (10)
Score: 19–7 (max 25, jos 24)

Three away for both, and it's left to Rachel to show us how it's done.

Teatime teaser: SCORNFOES -> CONFESSOR

Round 4: W I E T B U K E I

Mike: KITE (4)
John: BIKE (4)
DC: BIKIE (5)
Score: 23–11 (max 30, jos 29)
Darren-o-meter: 2/3 (67%)

A pretty naff round here with only one darrenic five available and two fours for our contestants.

Round 5: T A M N O J E M R

Mike: MOANER (6)
John: MENTOR (6)
DC: MOMENTA (7)
OT: MEMORAT (7) MONTERA (7)
Score: 29–17 (max 37, jos 36)
Darren-o-meter: 2/4 (50%)

Two sixes here, a seven for Dictionary Corner. Two non-spotted sevens for good measure.

Round 6: 50, 75, 10, 9, 7, 4. Target: 304.

Mike: 307.
John: 303. 75 × 4 + 10 − 7 (7)
RR: 304. (10 − 9 + 75) × 4 (10)
Score: 29–24 (max 47, jos 46)

Another pretty naff numbers round here. Both miss an easy numbers game and once again Rachel shows us how it's done.

Mark talks about his experience at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Round 7: N I T C O N A L T

Mike: CONTAIN (7)
John: COIN (4)
OT: ACTINON (7) CANNOLI (7) NOTATIN (7) ONTICAL (7)
Score: 36–24 (max 54, jos 53)
Darren-o-meter: 2/5 (40%)

Mike pulls out his lead as John can only spot a four.

Round 8: L V I S E R L O W

Mike: LOVERS (6)
John: WOLVES (6)
DC: ROLLIES (7)
OT: LOWLIER (7) LOWRIES (7) RILLOWS (7) SWILLER (7) SWOLLER (7) VILLOSE (7) WOLLIES (7)
Score: 42–30 (max 61, jos 60)
Darren-o-meter: 2/6 (33%)

Sixes apiece for Mike and John and a seven for Dictionary Corner. As you were.

Round 9: 50, 3, 9, 10, 8, 1. Target: 722.

Mike: 722. 9 × 8 × 10 + 3 − 1 (10)
John: 703.
Score: 52–30 (max 71, jos 70)

Mike spots the LNAFP (oh wait, that hasn't been invented yet) and extends his lead to 22 points.

Teatime teaser: SLOWHOMER -> WORMHOLES

Round 10: S I R A M B E F D

Mike: FRAMED (6)
John: BRAISED (7)
DC: DREAMS (6) MISREAD (7) BARDIES (7)
OT: MISFARED (8)
Score: 52–37 (max 79, jos 77)
Darren-o-meter: 3/7 (43%)

John strikes back with a seven, which Dictionary Corner can't beat. Lead comes down to 15 points.

Round 11: N U F D A P S O I

Mike: FOUND (5)
John: FOUNDS (6) (risky)
DC: UNIPODS (7)
OT: ADIPOUS (7) AUDIONS (7)
Score: 52–43 (max 86, jos 84)
Darren-o-meter: 3/8 (38%)

A risky six from John adding an S onto Mike's word allows him to close the lead down to just 9 points! Is this comeback on? Seven for DC.

Susie has an email from Jim Burns about the origin of jaywalking.

Round 12: R E N Y O N T I A

Mike: INTERN (6)
John: ANNOYER (7) (risky)
DC: RETINA (6) ENATION (7)
OT: ANOINTER (8) REANOINT (8)
Score: 52–50 (max 94, jos 91)
Darren-o-meter: 3/9 (33%)

Two risks, two rewards in a row. John's ANNOYER reduces the lead to just 2 points, and Dictionary Corner don't spot the winning eights.

Round 13: P E D P U C T E Y

Mike: CUPPED (6)
John: cupped (not written down)
DC: DEPUTY (6)
OT: DEPUTE (6) EYECUP (6) TUPPED (6)
Score: 58–50 (max 100, jos 97)
Darren-o-meter: 3/10 (30%)

Oh no! John would have kept the lead at two points but doesn't write his word down and thus gives up what could be a precious six points. Lead extends to eight...

Round 14: 25, 50, 6, 8, 6, 1. Target: 742.

Mike: 750. (50 + 25) × (8 + 6 ÷ 6 + 1) (5)
John: 720.
RR: 742. (25 × 6 − 50 + 6) × (8 − 1) (10)
Score: 63–50 (max 110, jos 107)

And Mike's 8-away solution here gets him over the line. John will be rueing that NWD six in the last round even further, as if he gets this conundrum it would have won the game for him.

Round 15: ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

John buzzes on 27.75 seconds to say PROCURING which is correct. (this buzz time comes from Ray Wilding, not the subs)
Final Score: 63–60 (max 120, jos 117)

And that's a bittersweet conundrum solve for John, whose NWD mistake in round 13 cost him. Not a particularly high-standard game but a tight see-sawing affair nonetheless, and had he managed to write CUPPED down he would have completed a 22-point comeback. Shame.

Surely, the scramble was CURRIPONG, if it wasn’t, then you can nick that the next time PROCURING is used as a conundrum.💡💡💡
