In Des's introduction he recalled a lot of, mainly nice, comments that a number of 8 year olds had said about their grandparents. I've obviously got it wrong. One of my 8 year olds recently said to me "You know, Grandpa, grandparents are supposed to spoil their grandchildren."

And now, on with the more important parts of the show.

Once again, a rush of posts to the forum, demonstrating that Carol had missed an easy first numbers game twice in consecutive matches.

Ran then entertained us by telling how he managed to overcome vertigo by spending five days on a climb up the North Face of the Eiger. I look forward to hearing, on his next visit, how he managed to overcome his other big fear - spiders.
