Hello and welcome to another Friday recap. :) Well the Mayor of Pryn-Ford has shown no sign of slipping up this week, as he has relentlessly marched through the week and has now reached 6 wins. Today he seeks his 7th win and if he achieves it, he will be just one step away from the promised land of the Quarter Finals and Octochampdom. Sue Edgar stands in his way today. Enjoy.

Round 1: M R T R U A I M E

George: IMMATURE (8)

George: 937. (50x75) - 8 + 5 + 1 / 4 (10)
Sue: -

George gets a perfect 10, but Sue comes nowhere near.

John Inverdale continues his run down of his top 20 phobias.

George: LEOTARD (7)
Sue: TROOPED (7)
DC: LEOPARD (7)
OT: ADOPTER (7) DELATOR (7) DROPLET (7) PAROLED (7) POOTLED (7) PRELOAD (7) PROLATE (7) READOPT (7) ROOTLED (7) TADPOLE (7) TORPEDO (7)

George: IRONISED (8)
Sue: DOSING (6)
DC: DERISION (8)

George: SOUVENIR (8)
Sue: SUNNIER (7)
DC: ENVIRONS (8)
OT: REUNIONS (8)
Score: 95–32 (max 104)

Another SOUVENIR for George and 8 points. Sue is the SUNNIER here but sadly fails to score.

Round 14: 4, 10, 3, 2, 2, 100. Target: 649.

George: 648. (4x2) + 100 x (2x3) (7)
Sue: 645.
RR: 649. (10+3) x 100 - 2 / 2 (10)
Score: 102–32 (max 114)

A rare moment of imperfection from George, as he only manages 1 away. Sue came 4 away and didn't score.

Round 15: N I G E L B A L L

George buzzes on 3 seconds to say LABELLING which is correct.
Final Score: 112–32 (max 124)

A magnificent conundrum spot in 3 seconds sees George score 112.
So George gets his 7th win and is now just 1 win away from becoming an Octochamp. It would take an incrediby good player to beat him, and he will be a real force to be reckoned with in the final stages of this series. Will he become an Octochamp, or will someone stop him at the last hurdle? Join Andy McGurn on Monday to see if he can make it. I'll be back next Friday. Please join me then. Thank you very much for reading, and goodbye. :)

Corrected now James :) I just thought with it not being within 10, it wasn't appropriate to put it in.
