Last night's entertainment saw me on a nightout and involved Dylan tripping on the stairs, throwing his jagerbomb onto Zarte in the process. This moved on to me singing Don't Stop Me Now rather flamboyantly in the club, accidentally smacking someone in the face, which turns out to be George (sorry mate). I'm then in McDonalds with George, which looked more like the North Hykeham one than any in Nottingham, where I see Dan McColm attempting to steal the donut stand from the desk.

Funnily enough all of these things actually happened on a recent night out, just with different people.

Another one last night..... why do you people feel the need to worm your ways into my dreams so often!

I am in some underground casino, location unknown, when I am suddenly ambushed by Rhys Benjamin who starts shouting at me because I was apparantly meant to represent the UK in Eurovision that night, and because I was in the wrong country, Callum Pickering had to sing and only got 1 point in the whole show. When I say at least he did better than Jemini, Rhys storms off in anger and ends up breaking the door of the casino.

If anyone was wondering, the 1 point came from Moldova, and having heard Callum sing, I can safely say 1 point would be generous

Last night's dream: I was playing real life Mole (not for the first time) and was in the final with Serena Williams and a girl called Zoe, who was my best friend as a little kid. There was no host. In the final - hosted in a small room at my secondary school - I became completely convinced that Serena was the Mole and she was going to kill me. So I started yelling at her that she was going to kill me and she didn't deny it (although she was making no move to kill me), so I pre-emptively decided to defend myself by strangling her. This went on for ages until she shouted "What the hell is wrong with you? I'm not the Mole!", at which point I stopped strangling her, realising that Zoe (who had been a cold, unconcerned onlooker of the situation) was the Mole. I apologised, but Serena understandably stormed out.

Feeling horrific guilt, I turned myself into the police, and found that the chief of police was David Tennant. I made an official statement apologising to Serena, who accepted it, and David Tennant sentenced me to be chased around an enormous B&Q supermarket by a magic, out of control trolley.

In the B&Q supermarket, I found that Zarte must have committed a crime too as he was also being chased around by a magic, out of control trolley. While I was terrified about it, Zarte was very much enjoying wheeling around the aisles. After several laps through the supermarket, I ended up going down an enormous baked goods section, around which loads of school kids were loitering along with a morbidly obese man, who put me off buying anything in case I ended up like him.

Then Zarte and I escaped the store/trolleys at the same time (even in my dream we're in sync #twinstinct), but went back into the store to buy some lunch. On our way through the entrance, we passed Matty Artell and Callum Todd, who had gone in to get their lunch after school and were now leaving. They looked happy to see us and waved, but were clearly way too cool/busy to hang around with us criminals as they didn't stop to chat. Fin.

So last night I dreamt I was in a general knowledge quiz similar to the Weakest Link. We were all stood in a circle around our host, Mr. Siempre, who explains that instead of the walk of shame, when we are voted off we will be dropped into a massive pool of gunge, similar to Get Your Own Back.

The quiz starts with Dylan, Bundy and Pickering being the first few voted off. The quiz then turns ugly as Jen somehow talks her way out of being voted off despite getting the most votes, with Andy being the unfortunate victim, and despite not even being in the quiz, Dan McColm also falls into the gunge. Basically myself, Jen, Matt B, George and Susie Dent being the final five but I then woke up and never found out who won.

Last night's saw me on a road trip with Zarte and AP. Did not recognise where at all but the roads were pretty deserted.

My dream last night saw me playing against Dylan at COLIN (although the venue looked more like a cafe than the real one) and it was a crucial conundrum. I was aware that Dylan had got one in stupidly quick time against me earlier in the tournament (at least there was something realistic about this dream), so I went into it fearing the worst. There were just the two of us on the table and no host, so Dylan revealed the scramble which I think had two I's, and M, an R and a Q with no U in it (probably one of the dodgy new words) and sure enough, he slapped the table immediately and gave the answer. I can't remember what he said, but it sounded nothing like the letters that were displayed. He claimed victory but I was far from happy and insisted on checking it with Ben, to which Dylan replied "Nah, it's fine". That didn't stop me, though, as I made my way through a busy crowd of people to the McDonalds-style front counter. I asked Ben to check his list of conundrums but sadly, the dream ended before I found out whether or not I had been cheated. I think Chris from Eggheads made a brief appearance behind the counter as well.

No, just some chicken nuggets from the South Hykeham McDonalds, but preferably not as many as Ed McCullagh had.

Last night's dream for me saw me laid in bed on the morning of COLIN, only to have Mark Deeks and Graeme Cole burst through my bedroom door at about 7am and wish me a happy birthday, even though COLIN isn't anywhere near my birthday. If this actually happens on the morning of COLIN, I will be properly freaked out.

Also, expect more COLIN-related dreams as the day itself approaches, if previous years are anything to go by. :)

In last night's dream, I'm Darth Vader. Well, not so much 'Darth Vader' as 'sarcastic Darth Vader'. Same armour, same horrific injuries, but I solve my problems by making sarcastic remarks to people rather than telekinetically choking them. After disciplining a bunch of people, I head to the old assembly hall at my secondary school, where Mark Murray and Graeme Cole are waiting to perform an operation to replace some of my bones (all the bones in my legs iirc). It turns out that despite being a dark lord of evil, I'm also afraid of needles (which is odd as I'm not in real life), so I have to be distracted by Jen whilst Graeme injects me with anaesthetic. Naturally, the injection goes straight into my groin. The last thing I remember before losing consciousness (and therefore waking up) is Zarte laughing hysterically at my expense.

Another f*cking weird one last night. It started with me taking my mate's kid (who is less than a year old so won't use names) to CoLin, which was still at the old venue for some reason. The kid then proceeds to win the entire thing, beating Dylan in the final getting a nine in every letters round, perfecting two 4 large numbers games using 937.5, and then solving a difficulty 10 conundrum in less than a second. If this kid grows up to be a genius we know who to thank.

Spookily, when I had this dream-

Two minutes later and I'm announcing the final between two unknown players, Jayne Watson and Matthew Somethingorother. Whilst making these announcements I have to keep making trips back to the PC under the pretense of checking their scores when I'm actually trying to remember their names (as you can see, it didn't quite work). They're both unbeaten on 6 wins but only scored around 320 points. Third is Thomas Cappleman on 3 wins, slightly further behind are Jack Worsley and Kirk Bevins, who only have two wins each but both managed scores of over 500 points (somehow). Before the final starts, I introduce the new trophy, which for some reason is in the shape of Sylvester and Tweety Pie. The old shields have been added to the new trophy, with the exception of the 2013 shield which has been replaced with an essay on how Dylan Taylor is the true king of Brazil. Zarte volunteers to host the final, and I'm about to rib James Robinson about having the day off when I wake up.
-In July 2014, it was at the new COLIN venue, which we didn't move to until this year. Even more spookily, T-Cap also came third this year, and Zarte hosted the final! :o

Also, I recently had a dream where I and Callum Todd were in the jungle either hunting or trying to escape from a thirty-foot tall six-legged elephant that had the face of Jon Corby. I'm not sure if there's any symbolism to this, and even if there is, I don't want to know about it.

Last night I dreamt I was playing a 15 Rounder against Gevin. I woke up just before the final numbers game but at the time he was winning 439 - 4. Don't even ask.

One I had a couple of nights ago involved me hosting CoNot as part of a massive 3-day aptomarathon, the second day of which was a ridiculously huge assault course through a deserted office building and a hotel and involved booby traps, climbing ropes and all manner of stuff.

I decide that rather than remain impartial, I'm going to follow Jono as he attempts the assault course, but he screws up the end part of it so badly I decide to abandon him and head to the final stage, the rest area, which is an old shed that is supposedly also tne entirety of Papua New Guinea. There, I discover that Adam Gillard finished first, whilst others also there are Andy Platt and Michelle Nevitt. Jono finishes in ninth, shortly behind Jon Corby and Mark Deeks.

So tonight's dream. I'm back at my old school either showing someone round or being awarded with something, when I randomly do something that earns me a merit point, and I need to find some way to redeem it. I decide to sneak into the sixth form common room to do that, running into zarte and Alan young along the way, who for some reason are students at the school. The common room has been turned into a stalag by head boy George ford, so I sneak through and grab the relevant house colors from the door, before hot footing it to Tracey Mills's car, which is my getaway car. However, the car seems to have been built backwards or something, as I have to climb into the rear seat via the boot. All the whole I'm wondering why I don't just walk home as my house is less than half a mile away. As I'm waking up, Callum Todd is climbing into the passenger seat on Tracey's left hand side, despite the car being left hand drive.

After this post from James Robinson, I had this dream that there was going to be some showing of the last five races of the 1993 F1 season. I was on some sort of minibus travelling to the showing along with people I knew from school and university, as well as James Robinson. On the way there, I was talking about these five races and what happened in them, and someone accused me of spoilering, to which I pointed out that this was just some historical interest thing. But what's interesting is how accurate my dream mind recalled these races. I correctly got what the five races were (Belgian, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Australian), and I was going on about how lucky Damon Hill had been to win in Belgium (which he did win). Also, I was saying that we had Schumacher's first win in the selection in Portugal (it was actually his second win obviously), and Irvine's debut in Japan.

But anyway, James Robinson was in this dream, and there was a mention of spoilering so it counts in this thread.

Last night. I'm hosting a COLIN event in which people aren't actually playing Countdown, but some bizarre Rugby World Cup sweepstakes game. I'm deeply engrossed in watching the Richard priest vs James Robinson game, despite the fact that all they're doing is naming countries who are playing games of rugby. I forget wh won, but soon everyone is moving venue for the next round (for some reason). I lead a group of people including Ryan, Michelle and Jono through Lincoln toward a passage called the Glory Hole (this is actually a real place, just as Mark Deeks if you don't believe me). Along the way, another competitor who I won't name to spare their blushes comes down with the most stunning attack of explosive diarrhoea that I or anyone else has ever witnessed. It's literally so bad that at one point, rather than give directions, I simply tell people who are lagging behind to 'follow the trail'. Curiously, the person having the apocalyptic shitting fest doesn't seem to fazed by it and is just laughing it off as one of those things. Long story short, we arrive at the Glory Hole, and Jono takes advantage of the fact that the safety railings have been taken down and rugby tackles me into the river, which earns him a huge bollocking from absolutely everyone as I can't actually swim. Then I wake up.

So last night I seemed to be replaying the whole of the film Trainspotting in my mind, except it diverged a bit to a wedding between two of the characters, at which Andy Platt was the best man. In the absence of confetti, Andy started tearing up bits of sellotape and hurling them at the bride and groom (he was able to do this one-handed, which was quite impressive), only to be told that birds might eat the sellotape and explode. Andy, for some reason, finds this utterly hilarious and speeds up his confetti-ing. I then wake up.

So last night, the dream starts with me sat at my desk at work, which sees me quickly fall asleep from the utter boredom, and when I enter the second inception-like level of dreaming, I'm in my old school, stuck in a classroom with Matt Morrison whilst this song is playing in the background, which inevitably leads to a discussion about Jim Bentley. I mistakenly believe that he was in/directed the music video, or that it was set in his neck of the woods, or something. Either way, we spend a good amount of time talking about Jim. I then leave the classroom, leaving Matt to his colouring, and walk past CJ De Mooi and a couple of my old teachers on my way down the stairs (I walk down the banisters rather than the actual steps, as you do). It turns out the school is getting closed down and replaced by offices- namely, the office where I work, hence why I'm so eager to get out of there.

My mum then pulls up in a car and complains about the lack of parking whilst blocking two other cars from leaving, and then sods off before giving me a lift. Eventually, I suss out that I'm in a dream, and knowing my shitty short-term memory, I resolve to wake up as fast as possible, so I stare directly into the sun, only for it to turn into the face of Mickey Mouse. After telling Mickey he can go and fuck himself, I fall backwards and wake up, and actually (whilst fully awake, I should point out) spend 30 seconds testing for a false awakening before jotting down my notes for the dream.

First time for a while....

For some reason I'm back in the art classroom of my old (now demolished) school building, in a class with a teacher I don't know, sitting next to Matty Artell and Andy Platt.

The peace and quiet is broken when Tom Carey comes storming in and starts beating up the teacher constantly. I get elbowed in the face when I try to pull him off. The elbow jerked me awake at 4am (thanks Tom)

Last night's dream saw me attending an impromptu CO:EDI tournament, although for some reason, this one took place at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United. There were only about ten of us and I remember Tracey Mills giving me her usual devilish grin (at least something was realistic). That's all there was to the dream, I'm afraid.

Last night I dreamed that I came across the nine-letter word SPECABLE, which I thought would be an ideal word for a conundrum (as the letters were so similar to those in the fan-favourite BEDPLACE), but I was embarrassed that I'd never heard such a clearly everyday word before, and that I didn't know what it meant or even how to pronounce it correctly ('SPEEK-able' or 'SPECK-able'?). To try and find out the correct pronunciation, I went onto the Countdown Wiki to look up games where SPECABLE had been the conundrum, and found a link to a Youtube video of the last part of an old episode where it had been - it was the last show in David Stainer's famous octorun, and he was sitting on an incredible score of 110 before the conundrum. Richard Whiteley was exhilarated and delighted because David had a chance to break the all-time score record of 76 - David confided in me that he didn't have the heart to point out to Richard that he already had (by this point I was in the episode myself and freely able to interact with the people present). Both contestants were now sitting at the top of the conundrum waterslide ready to go down, but Richard wouldn't stop going off on tangents, rambling to me (and other people who were casually walking around the holiday resort the episode was set in) about his showbiz career and other irrelevant topics. After about 10 minutes, David stood up and exclaimed "When are we going to do the conundrum???" in a very camp and somewhat operatic manner. From that point on, tensions began to rise sharply, and ultimately the episode had to be ended on acrimonious terms before the conundrum was even played. I left disappointed.

Weird dream last night that included myself and a few apterites (including Matty, Zarte and Callum P, can't remember the others) taking part in an episode of 15-to-1, for some readon hosted by James Robinson. After the first few questions were all about Huddersfield Town, Zarte threatened to kill Robbo if there were anymore and the dream abruptly morphed into something else.

Innis Carson wrote:Last night I dreamed that I came across the nine-letter word SPECABLE, which I thought would be an ideal word for a conundrum (as the letters were so similar to those in the fan-favourite BEDPLACE), but I was embarrassed that I'd never heard such a clearly everyday word before, and that I didn't know what it meant or even how to pronounce it correctly ('SPEEK-able' or 'SPECK-able'?).

Last night was a bit of an odd one. It started out either with me arguing with my brother in my back garden at 2am, or playing a videogame. Either way, the arguments ends, and/or I finish playing the videogame by dismantling the Nintendo DS I was playing for the benefit of Innis Carson. I then head into my house, which in my dreams is huge. Seriously, whenever I dream, my homes are always truly palatial. The room I'm in is a conservatory which is easily 60 feet long, even though the garden I'd just been in is barely 15 feet wide. Anyway, I head along my conservatory to the arcade section of it, where I find Jack Worsley playing on one of my fruit machines, whilst Tom Cappleman tries to fiddle with the back of it. Leaving them be, I find a couple of illegal immigrants trying to rip off one of my other fruit machines, but as they only want £2 out of it, I decide to help them, and print off a winning voucher from the fruit machine that takes ages to change (Back to the Future style) into a winning slip, which they go and cash in.

At this point, Jen shows up, so I ask her if I'm allowed to play the fruit machine for fun and keep the profits (like, only take out of it what I put in), but she says no, the fruit machine has to be owned by a committee and starts drawing up a constitution for my conservatory, which is now apparently a gambling den/grocery shop. Resigned to my fate, I, along with Mark Deeks, start stacking shelves with biscuits, and get into a huge argument about the placement of a packet of pro-brexit bourbon creams. After getting my hands sticky on an unwrapped drifter bar, I enter the toilets to wash my hands, and laugh at a childlike drawing I apparently did of mark's protege (whoever that is, I don't know) on whom I've drawn a tap for a penis. At this point I wake up.

I had a dream the other night where I was at some comedy gig with Matt Morrison, Heather Badcock, Indra, and a friend of theirs. After one of the acts, they asked me what I thought of him, and I was rather scathing. At that point, it turned out that their friend was his brother and he was really annoyed by this (I was also annoyed that I got asked this question without being told of the potential fall-out), and he attempted to punch me in the face. Then he actually did punch me in the face, but it was a really feeble punch, so didn't hurt or cause me to wake up or anything.

Two from last night. In the first one, I'm in some sort of overnight co-event being held in a library in Milton Keynes. Kirk's there, as are Jono and Matt Morrison. It's about 2am when Matt announces he wants to buy some coke, so I give him directions to a nearby petrol station, assuming that by 'coke' he means 'cola'. The co-event doesn't get any further than the draw for round 1, which is conducted by pulling books off the shelves of the library and arranging them in piles of three on the floor, with each book representing a player. One book has been substituted for something else as part of a practical joke, but as I don't remember the punchline (still can't, in fact) it falls flat. Jono then deafens Kirk when the latter crouches down in front of a speaker and Jono turns it up full blast.

In the second dream, I'm back in the house I was in in this dream. I become aware of a home intruder, but instead I decide to go for a piss. The only way I can do this is to climb out of my bedroom window and hurry along the garden to the toilet just off the conservatory, but along the way I become insreasingly worried about the intruder, so after reaching the toilet subicle and sealing myself in there, I talk to Jen (who is apparently in charge of my house's security) over my earpiece and try to get her to reach the panic button in my bedroom (which I apparently neglected to push in my urgency to reach the toilet). Directions get muddled, Jen gets hopelessly lost, and I wake up.

Right, last night, from what I can remember. I'm either desperate to get a bus home or I don't give a shit about it, but either way, I abandon it in favour of going to a second-hand videogame/book store. Well, it starts out as a second hand videogame store, but quickly evolves into a second hand book store, which excites me greatly when I see that they have a health selection of Fighting Fantasy books. I pick up one called 'The Cra'. That's it. That's the name. Not someone who couldn't be arsed to print the rest of the title, just 'The Cra', and another book that I can't remember. On my way to pay for the book, I run into Gary Male, both Krols, Thomas Carey, Rhys and Jim Bentley, who all seem interested in The Cra. That's basically all the dream entailed, really. Now I need to go and write a Fighting Fantasy book called 'The Cra'.

Right so last night. I'm managing a pub and running a co-event at the same time. The pub is the bottom floor of some massive multi-storey department store and I'm not allowed on any of the other floors, but thanks to some ingenuity involving a Portal gun I manage to gain access to other floors along with Zarte and a couple of other c4capterites I don't recognise. The first place we arrive is a clothing department of the department store, though this goes awry when about a dozen gang bangers from GTA San Andreas emerge out of nowhere, and suddenly I (and only I) am marked for death. Zarte laughs a lot at this and abandons me, causing me to run down to the bottom floor of the store, where I manage to avade my pursuers by removing my glasses (though as with real life, this causes me to be barely able to see). Then I wake up.

So yesterday I was talking to my mum about Michelle Nevitt, couldn't remember her name, and wound up calling her Jennifer. That wasn't a dream as it actually happened. Then in my dream, Michelle kept popping up and shouting "it's NOT bloody JENNY", randomly, like the Toasty guy from Mortal Kombat, about times in total. Lovely night.

So last night. I was stuck in a sort-of shopping centre somewhere in Sheffield that prided itself on being utterly useless in terms of both customer service and good/services available. I was stuck in a hardware store that served confectionery, for example. Dinos was one of the supervisors there, who was taking his job very seriously in between bouts of hysterical laughter. I left Dinos to his own devices and went down into the basement of the store, finding a lot of tractor tyres that had nothing wrong with them, which was a bit of a disappointment, but in the next room, my brother was demonstrating a bolt gun. Well I say bolt 'gun', it was more like a bolt howitzer that took bolts that weighed about a kilogram and fired them into the 50 foot high ceiling at top speed.

Then there was either a jump cut or a different dream as I found myself in the hall of my old secondary school hosting COLIN, except whilst my brain knew it was COLIN, what was actually going on was I was duelling with Minbari Fighting Pikes with a girl from where I work. Long story short, I win the fight by breaking her wrist and people get a little pissed off with me. With encouragement from Graeme and Gevin, my brother challenges me to my next duel, and I then wake up.

Last night I seemed to be in the attic of a large house, which was larger than most houses but I didn't seem to pay it much attention. It was crammed full of old Star Trek boardgames, so i thought 'hey, I oughta host a COLIN here'. Suddenly, Matty Artell, Ru Maxwell and Graeme Cole appear and start playing apterous on some of the school computers that seemed to have transported themselves (energise?) into the rooms of the attic. At the sight of the apterites (Callum Todd and Andy Platt might also have been there, I can't remember exactly), I get a sudden revelation that to fulfil the next part of my quest, I must suddenly go and find Zarte, so i go and do just that.

Luckily, Zarte lives next door to the attic and is hanging around on his doorstep, so I go and introduce myself. Zarte tells me his name is 'Gavin Penny', and I introduce myself as 'James Thorn'. We're acting like we've never met each other before, even though it's obviously to everyone (including the two of us) that we have. I then enter Zarte's house, only to discover it's a truly MASSIVE superhotel. I sort-of vaguely know that I need to find what I'm looking for on the third floor, even though I don't know what I'm looking for, and I'm distracted by the basement, which is a disused London Underground station that's been converted into a games room with every Super Nintendo game ever in it (even the ones that were only released in Japan).

Ironically, earlier today and for unrelated circumstances, I actually passed within a few hundred feet of Zarte's front door in real non-dream life. :-)

Dreamt I was the guest analyst at an international basketball Q&A forum held in the Industrial Zone on the original Crystal Maze. I was asked whether Alan Williams would be able to shore up Panathinaikos's weak interior defense, and gave such a long winded answer that the crowd walked out bored, to later find that Matty Artell was the question asker. For some reason he was like eight foot tall.

I can't really add anything new here as (1) I don't tend to remember dreams and (2) if I do, they tend to fade within seconds of waking up. As such, if I have had Countdown-related dreams, I can't remember them.

Going a bit off-topic here, though, I do have a recurring dream where I'm hanging off the top of a relatively tall building with one hand. Weirdly, I'm always aware that - although the building is tall enough for me to see the people in the streets below as insect-sized, which would make it at least a hundred feet high by my estimation - I always have the impression that I could just let go of the building and fall into the street below without injury, and join in again with the street-level people.

"Dream analysts", I've always thought, are full of shit. People have different drives and motivations and stuff; you can't simply say that a dream about (x) is an indication of (y) because there's all these different connections, which inevitably will vary from person to person, depending on experience. But I'm kind of coming around to it; I think there might be recurrent tropes that affect us all. But had it not been for that recurring dream - which is so patently obvious in its meaning, symbolism and such stuff (i.e. I'm kind of choosing to cling to a precarious existence rather than re-joining mainstream society, but still feel that I could do either, etc.) that I'm starting to think there might be something to it.

So, for all the amateur psychologics out there, would you consider my reading of the dream relatively accurate, or do you think there are other layers to explore? This sort of stuff sort of fascinates me.

Oh, and sorry for the slight derailing of the topic. Erm, I think I saw Stewart Gordon in one of the street scenes - will that do?

I think a lot of dream analysis is BS. But if there is any meaning to a dream it's likely to be fairly obvious. There's no obscure author writing your dreams to make them difficult to decipher. There's just you. If you're anxious about something, it sometimes comes out in dreams. There's unlikely to be much deeper than that.

I went to a dream interpreter once. What they do is essentially cold reading. You end up telling them what you think the dream is about but at first it seems like they told you. When I came out of the session I thought it was cool but the more I thought about the more i realised she didn't actually do anything except be someone to talk to about worries or whatever. I wouldn't recommend it really. You'd be better off with a properly qualified therapist.

I don't remember as many details of this one as I'd like as I neglected to make my usual post-dream notes, but from what I do remember, I was at Co:Leeds, only instead of playing Countdown, I was a bounty hunter and Callum was giving me a contract. Can't remember who I was supposed to take out, or whether they were meant to be taken dead or alive.

Last night I found myself hosting a Top Gear-style programme in which I (and possibly Richard Hammond and James May) was reviewing old Cold War-era armoured personnel carrier, I clambered into the side of one with my co-presenters, only for Stone Cold Steve Austin to show up and get into one of the seats. After a pleasant chat with Stone Cold, I head into the next room of the APC to find a bunch of squaddies eating their breakfast. I interview them for a bit (I am presenting a TV show after all), and one of them suddenly opens the partition next to the kitchen to reveal a large events hall, similar to the Memorial Hall in North Hykeham, in which a small co-event is taking place. A few more squaddies arrive, along with Michelle Nevitt and Callum Todd, who take me into the events hall, where, in a rare (for my dreams) instance of continuity, I search futilely for Stone Cold, only to instead find a bunch of bored teenaged girls making a 'thank you card' for our class's visit (we're a school class now). Then I wake up.

Normally immediately after waking up I make notes of my dreams, but I got up pretty much the second this dream was done so I didn't have to. Sometimes, however, I forget I've made notes so sometimes classic dreams go unrecapped and eventually forgotten, such as this note I found on my phone dated 15/9 and with a timestamp of 4:20am-

-Essentially running COHUD and Robbo's house for him
-His house numbers are weird
-Selfie with Pavarotti

No idea what the narrative was to that one. :-/

Okay, last night a bunch of countdowners and apterites (including myself, obviously) were in an old bus heading along a mountain road, when suddenly someone's kidneys both burst. It's quickly decided that we need to head to a nearby hospital where Zarte- the only compatible donor (apparently)- will need to donate one of his kidneys. The bus then breaks down, so Zarte takes it upon himself to give the bus a tow to the hospital, before an ambulance suddenly appears out of nowhere.

Smash cut to the hospital, which for some reason is Fawlty Towers. Zarte and the kidney recipient (who looks oddly healthy for someone whose kidneys exploded) are being prepped for surgery, which apparently involves reading a lot of magazines. Many apterites are also there, including Andy Platt, who for some reason is missing his right leg. As everyone else disappears up to surgery, I entertain myself by reading an old advent calendar from 1958, which has, in addition to pictures of Santa and Christmas trees, advice on how to survive in the event of a nuclear holocaust. A boring man then sits down next to me and tries to entertain me with tales of how rich he would have been if he'd made certain investments in the 1960s. It's a relief when my alarm finally goes off.
