Malt Loaf

Post by Michael Wallace »

I just had some Soreen for the first time in years. Tasty shit. The packet seemed to imply you can eat it in all manner of different ways (I thought the only way was to put butter on it), so for those of you who think 'fuck yeah!', how do you do it?

They now make a ready-sliced loaf.

Anything which tastes better after you put butter on it must've been fucking disgusting to begin with.

I say "fuck yeah!" to malt loaf, too, although I've not had any for ages. And again, I've never thought of anything more outre than spreading butter on it. Soreen are messing with our heads suggesting that there are other ways.

Michael, I think you should write to them and ask them if they have any exciting recipe ideas to send you. Fuck, maybe they even have a recipe book! That would be immense. You might get some sort of freebie out of it anyway.

I voted "What?" because I have never tried it. Yep, I'm a (Malt Loaf) virgin.

They seem to be ahead of us on this one, alas.

Their ideas are intriguing (even if at least one of them amounts to serving something else on top of some malt loaf). But then in another place they're advocating putting malt loaf into what should only be a savoury/spicy thing, the fucking idiots. They must be on heroin or something.

The consultant who changed my heart valve was a Mr Soreen I wonder if his mamma makes malt loaf

Btw everytime someone goes to Cyprus she insists on malt to make her own maltloaf and i have to say she makes it as good as Mrs Soreen.

I never have butter on it - yuk. I just take a massive bite into the cuboid. Tastes nice and sticky, just the way I like it.
