Yup. Real dollar.

1. install http://www.pokerstars.com/PokerStarsInstall.exe
2. sign up
3. deposit some cashish
4. once loaded, go to Tourney > Private and then sort the tournaments by name and look for "C4C"

Hey. I've only just noticed this thread and am hoping I'm not too late to join.

I've got a Pokerstars account;

Username: JJRules_24 or something like that

Any objections to another participant?

I think it's a case of the more the merrier, at least for Hulme for whom it is an extra ten bucks (or $5 in the Omaha).

Enjoyable games - thanks to Andrew for organising and everyone else for playing.

If this happens again can I suggest the Omaha be played before/after the Holdem? Things got a bit painful when both games were short-handed!

Yes, enjoyed that a lot more than I expected (I was kinda planning to go all-in early and get knocked out for giggles, but it seems Jimmy beat me to that idea). Well done Andrew, much appreciated.

Likewise, thanks very much Andrew and congrats to Phil and Jimmy! Well played lads; tough table.

Mental note: don't limp into Reamsy or Ian.

Mental note addendum: fold every hand Phil plays.

Another mental note: Don't force Matt all in, he'll only hit the river.

I'd be up for one of these in the future. The only reason I didn't get involved in this one was because I didn't understand what $10+1 meant (or, rather, I thought I did, but it turns out I didn't).

Cheers guys - to be fair, once I'd snagged a reasonable chip lead, I played very solidly and ran increasingly hot.

And at one point just after the tables had merged, I was running scared; there were a few consecutive hands played exclusively amongst the chip leaders. Included in this was an all-in from Charlie - worth over half the total stack - when I'd rivered a queen-high flush. Not sure if I correctly sniffed out a full house, but there was some massive action either way.

Thanks to Andrew in particular for getting it sorted. I hear enough about his poker exploits and it was a very proud moment for me when I knocked him out.

Yeah, but join the league now, so that when the event gets set up you get all the e-mails and shit that I imagine come with it. Sensible.

Oh and when you join, post who you are in here if your screen name isn't already in the top post!

Wrathwind (Hull) ?
John-G1961 (Alexandria) ? - isn't that in Egypt?
tehraccoon (London) ? who's this retard?

Yes, E1 would be cool.

I'll add tehraccoon to the list in the OP, I presume Wrathwind is Ryan and John-G is Gillies Snr, but will wait for confirmation.

I'm downloaded, installed, and in, and as a bonus I apparently still had $21.67 in my Pokerstars account!

Ah, you southerners. Alexandria's at the south end of Loch Lomond, one of the further-flung outposts of the ancient Macedonian empire. Almost as pretty as Iskandariya in Iraq.

I'll sign up tonight by the way, cheekbones3.

Yeah we'll work out a date we can all do here, and what tournaments we want to play, all those details, then I guess I set it up, you can register at any time and then you turn up when it's on.

Yeah real money but not a lot so it's accessible for everyone.

We can play cash games too after the tourney(s) if people are interested.

A tourney is generally a knock-out-style event, a cash game is an ongoing game where each hand is a one-off - people can dip in and out of cash games as they want.

Ah right cheers Ian. So these would be the ones where a lot of money could be lost. I'll stick to the fixed entry tourney ones.

All depends on what stakes Jono chooses to run I guess. You have to try hard to lose lots of money at, say, $0.01/0.02 blinds. I'm sure he'll take your gambling history into account and do something fair.

Yeah, it won't be me choosing it, it will be a team decision, and I can't afford all that much more than this anyways.. But if people want to play bigger later, I imagine it's easy to arrange using the Home Games interface.

Sound. Got an email saying there was a game scheduled for the 2nd but the email arrived on the 3rd. Thought I might have missed something. I assume dates and times are US. What's that, -5 hours? Looking forward to see you all at the table, decorating the mahogany.
