Is there still a mandatory Classics entrance test? - I needed Latin as well as Maths (Pure & Applied) Physics and Chemistry. That was back in 1943 - I think my equivalent grades were D(or E - anything better than a fail would have done, so wasn't given actual result), A*, A, B, C respectively. :geek:
Nope, Latin is no longer a matriculation requirement (Google suggests this disappeared in the early Sixties) and the foreign language requirement was officially removed a couple of years ago.

Someone start posting some fails now or at the least some mediocre results.
I went out last night and was bragging to loads of babes about my results, but I still didn't get laid. I did however wake up and vomit.

Is that fail enough?

I also went out last night in hope of meeting some intelligent girl who was out for A-level celebrations. I ended up with a full drink thrown over me, vodka in my eyes then left early and stupidly played the Daily Duel and came #13 out of 13.

Trumped you.

If you're doing maths at uni, get used to it.
I joke of course - such is Oxbridge that maths is probably more likely to get you laid than studying something cool.

Maths came last in the student newspaper's recent "how many people have you boned?" survey. Computer Science was second to last. I think Medicine was top, but probably only because they count it as practical training.

My friend just told me his degree result, so I thought that maybe other people were getting their results in / will be getting results over the coming months. Hence, bump.

exams ended like a month ago here

failed my exit exam for my stats Master's (not sure what an M.S. is equivalent to in the UK) -- though to be fair it's a bit hard to pass a graduate stats exam when you completely forget what an ANOVA is during the oral defense. Worst marks in my classes in pretty much my whole life, let alone post-high school. Also I have to wait until December for another chance at the exam and I can't find work (nor can I play poker to make money anymore).

I'd say 2011 is by far the best year of my life and it's not close

My results come out on July 1st. I don't think I will get a first though but as long as I get 40% then I'll be happy.

Violin: passed grades 1 and 2, grade 1 with 116 points and 2 with 106 points.
hope to carry on and also start to have keyboard lessons at secondary school (i have a keyboard and it really is a bit of a shame not to have lessons).

School entrance exam: Passed Skipton Girls' High School exam and am definitely going there in September.

Got my exam results last week - 2:1s in all of them, rounding off a 100% streak of 2:1 consistency for my first year. Considering I've been completely demotivated this year, I'm quite pleased.

Dinos, I hope the same applied to you putting math instead of maths.

Passed it the second go. Not sure exactly what a Master's in Science in the US translates to in Europe, but I now have one with solid marks to boot.

I don't know either but I'd hazard a guess at a Masters in Science. Regardless, well done Steve!
