I've just watched two brilliant films recently.
Oldboy a Korean twisted revenge thriller and Incendies, an amazing film , in French, set in the Middle East, which does more to show the horrors of religious conflict than anything I've seen in years.
I usually avoid foreign language films as I was too lazy to read and watch at the same time.
But as I get older, I am slowly realising that some of the best cinema does not come from Hollywood
Do you watch foreign language movies ?

Re: Do you watch foreign language movies ?
I don't mind subtitles. I had a basic German module in my media course so I watched a good few German movies including Run Lola Run, Die Welle, Good Bye Lenin and The Edukators.
Probably my favourite foreign language film though is Mel Gibson's Apocalypto.

Did like Run Lola Run.. (visual films are better if you have to read subtitles.
Apocalyptico is good until the last scene when the Spanish turn up
The usual Mel Gibson directed anachronisms... see Braveheart for better examples

yeah, a lot. Don't mind subtitles (much prefer them over a bad dub), to the point where I often subtitle stuff in languages I can understand in case I miss a word or something to save me scrolling back a few seconds or whatever every time
