World Cup 2018

This is the most open tournament in years.
I have probably been spinning this line for 20 years or more but I can't see a clear favourite.
On paper I would say France have the best squad.
Belgium are a team of individuals but maybe they might get lucky.
I think Spain are past their best, ditto Germany.
Brazil will want to wipe the memory of 2018 and Messi could finally do a Maradonna and win it almost single handedly.
As for England, if they can get to the quarters, who knows.....I'm kidding, they may struggle to make the second round.
I do hope VARS will be a success and the English fans behave thenselves

Well I know it's early days but I'm looking forward to maybe seeing Brazil play Germany in the round of 16 and England to play the winners 😁

I too am enjoying. I also have the advantage of the Irish pundits. Brian Kerr is the greatest co-commentator of all time.

Well 4 more games left until the sharp end.
I am looking forward to watching Belgium and England play who wants to finish second (as it might be more beneficial now Germany are out ).
But ,seriously this world cup is wide open.
I think France, Belgium, Brazil and Maybe England to make the Semis

Felt sad for Japan from a non-footy lover . Their 2 goals were great and thought they were going to cause an upset, but when the Belgium manager made changes it all started to go in Belgium's favour.

Refreshing as it is to see Japan going for it in the 93rd minute, they really should have taken a leaf out of their, disgraceful performance in the last ten minutes against Poland and played for a draw and regrouped in extra time and maybe sneaked a goal on the counter or took their chances at penalties.

That said it was a hugely exciting match.
Can't wait to see the Belgium v Brazil and France Uruguay games.
Can't get too excited about Sweden v Switzerland and I have a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that England may blow it against Colombia

Phew
We'll bring on the Quarter finals.
Sweden are a difficult nut to crack for England, Saturday could be a long night.
Looking forward to the high calibre games on Friday though

Football might not necessarily be coming home but it's definitely checking flight times and prices
