I am listing my 10 names for 2018 also requesting all lists to not have duplicates of others.
1. James Bolam
2. Pele
3. Nigel Lawson
4. Sir Ian McKellen
5. Dame Maggie Smith
6. William Roche
7. Donald Trump
8. Prince Philip
9. Jimmy Tarbuck
10. Ken Dodd.
Obviously this needs to be moved to correct new thread

OK, as per the other thread, it's the all-new Deathwatch 2017 Unlimited!

Turns out I had missed a couple of deaths from last year, oddly enough both picked by Sean D. (Gord Downie and Jalal Talabani) - sorry Sean.

Current standings:

1. Mark Deeks - 263 points - 4 hits
2. Sean D - 256 points - 4 hits
3. Jim Bentley - 203 points - 3 hits
4. James Laverty - 159 points - 3 hits
5. Thomas Carey - 109 points - 2 hits
6. Andy McGurn - 80 points - 2 hits
7. Marc Meakin - 56 points - 1 hit
8. Ben Wilson - 53 points - 2 hits
9. Euan Slatter - 28 points - 1 hit
10. Gavin Chipper - 0 points - 0 hits
11. Mark James - 0 points - 0 hits
12. Jennifer Steadman - 0 points - 0 hits

As a result of Sean getting three late on last year (and the first of this year), he rockets from nowhere straight into 2nd place. Watch out, Kerry Katona!

Finally Gavin gets one! Surprising, as I thought his list was pretty good (except Cher, who is now mainly made of plastic and will probably never die).

Current standings:

1. Mark Deeks - 263 points - 4 hits
2. Sean D - 256 points - 4 hits
3. Jim Bentley - 203 points - 3 hits
4. James Laverty - 159 points - 3 hits
5. Thomas Carey - 109 points - 2 hits
6. Andy McGurn - 80 points - 2 hits
7. Gavin Chipper - 70 points - 1 hit
8. Marc Meakin - 56 points - 2 hits
9. Ben Wilson - 53 points - 2 hits
10. Euan Slatter - 28 points - 1 hit
11. Mark James - 0 points - 0 hits
12. Jennifer Steadman - 0 points - 0 hits

I really didn't envisage me posting again on this topic so soon, but Jim Bowen makes it two for today: current updated standings:

3. James Laverty - 224 points - 4 hits
4. Jim Bentley - 203 points - 3 hits

I'd kind of forgotten about this to be honest, I'll need to check all the lists before updating. I know I've got at least one more too, it's probably going to be me and you at the top. Give me a couple of hours/days.

None. It makes no sense for it to. It would need to be specified in advance for it to have any validity as a competition, but even then it would be completely pointless and you'd have to wait for decades to declare a winner.

As I declared above, this is Deathwatch 2017 Unlimited and it will end once somebody gets ten hits. Yes, that may take decades and it's quite likely that I will die before it happens but hey, I don't make the rules. OK, maybe I do make the rules but hey. THOSE ARE THE RULES.

Mark's winning so far.
