Strange Celebrity Occurences

Post by Euan Slatter »

No more needs to be said.

For example, i once had Andy Ford cough in my face while grabbing a sausage roll...

And (not exactly what i mean but scary) i was watching a Drag Show [don't judge] as Pete Burns died.
COUNTDOWN or THE TUBE? Which is better? There's only one way to find out....

Call it a draw :)

I had to Google Andy Ford. Setting the bar high for the opening post...

I sold John Altman some Nurofen on the day of Princess Diana's funeral.

I don't know if that's either a celebrity or a coincidence, so some more might need to be said.

I'm not sure that counts as a celebrity story, Paul. I had to Google Princess Diana.

OK - he was opening my sister's drama group's new studio and they had snacks. I was packing them up (I'm good like that) and he said ''i'll grab one of them'' and he coughed in my face.

That's still not a coincidence and I still don't know who he is.

I've googled him, and I still have no idea who he is.
Definitely not Jamie McNeill or Schrodinger's Cat....

This really made me laugh for some reason. I think it's the matter-of-factness of it.

I can't get close, I'm afraid, but in about 1991 or 1992 a couple of friends and I went to the Wellgate Centre in Dundee - no great expedition required as we lived in a tenement block that was actually attached to the Wellgate) where Ken Morley was appearing. Back in those days he was playing Reg Holdsworth in Coronation Street and when we went to get an autograph, he signed it "Reg". Nothing else, just "Reg". Thought that was pretty odd at the time.

Whilst working in posh Waitrose High St Kensington I sold some athletes foot powder to Piers Morgan and some tinned anchovies to Jimmy Page.
Although until my colleague told me I would never have guessed apart from the pony tail....odd for a man in his late sixties
