I've never had them, but gulab jamun is in one of the cookbooks I got for Christmas! Bring a kitchen and all the necessary ingredients and tools to COLIN and maybe I'll make some.

I'd definitely do that but I don't think the kitchen would fit in my bag if I'm bringing my parkrun stuff.

If cheese isn't a proper 'after' (it is, though), I'd happily have it as a 'before' or a 'between'. I'm not fussy.

I think this is the thread for this. Do any of you have dreams where you go for a piss and it feels completely realistic? This happens to me a fair amount, but I obviously never actually piss myself, although I do normally need to go when I wake up. Also some of these dream pisses go on for absolutely ages. I told a friend at university once, and he thought it was really weird.

Has happened, and have pissed in doing so.

Can't say I ever dreamt of pissing.
Had a fair few where I was a fireman though dousing the flames.
Woke up to the inevitable, my bed was alight, that's what you get for having an arsonist as a brother 😂

I've woken up crying before, and I think I've pissed as well while dreaming about it. Not for a good while though.

I should point out that I don't do this nightly. Maybe like twice. Or three times. Can't lie, there's no tracking sheet.

Well, there was a tracking sheet, but somehow it got water damaged.

I might not sleep with stationery as often as you may imagine.

Has anyone else noticed that Nick Hewer can't pronounce the word "going"? It always sounds something like "gawing".

Yes you are right.
I think you should post it in the Countdown section though.

I've just watched a very good horror/ psychological thriller called Get Out.
Very good although I am not ao sure it would have been so well received if it was made by a white director though, given the premise.
Btw this is probably in the wrong thread aswell

I don't think it's worth its own thread though, and this is the thread I use for such things.

For the sake of pedantry only, it is however tenuous, countdown related.

I was reading yesterday about Joey Barton's 18 month FA ban for his dodgy football bets. Here's a flavour of some of the bets that got him into trouble:

Image

A couple of things struck me about the whole sorry affair. First, I would have expected the bets to be larger than this. Although some of them are for a few hundred quid, the majority are for pretty small amounts, down to a couple of quid in some cases. I mean, if you're going to risk your career for this sort of thing, you might as well make it worthwhile, surely?

The second thing - and the point that I really took away from this story - is that Joey Barton has got to be one of the most inept gamblers in the world. Even with (presumably) some inside knowledge, his winnings in the period above were £5 from nearly £2,000 staked! At first I wondered if this was some sort of tax loss thing, but I think he's actually just really, really bad at betting on football. They must really love him on the betting exchanges!

Feel free to start a proper thread but isn't it time we had a top tips thread, either serious ones or Via like ones.
