I can see an advert with a "Cool For Cats" parody song. I'm sure somebody can come up with some lyrics...

Ever since calling Justin Gatlin a brick shithouse in another thread the other day, I've been a bit obsessed in doing a Viz-style rip-off (I was always a fan of their continuing series of shed adverts):
So I did. Don't worry, I haven't gone mad again.
And is it really sixteen months since anyone last posted in here?

Incidentally, anyone know if there's something fucked with Photobucket? I can upload to it alright, but the links to album photos never resolve.

Re: C4C Photo Dump
Make sure you're using the *Direct* link. It should end in whatever extension your actual file ends with e.g. ".jpg"
I seem to recall there is a preferences page where you can choose which link formats you want to appear under each picture in your library. I only ever want *Direct* and had to turn this on, otherwise they persist in trying to make you always add a link to Photobucket whenever you stick your images out there.

Re: C4C Photo Dump
It's weird, it seems to be generating all the links properly (direct, IM, whatever) exactly as before, but when you test them, they don't work. But the old ones still do. V. odd. Could it be Java-related? I don't really know how Photobucket works. I can see the previews when they're uploaded, but if you click any preview (to enlarge and to get the links to the picture), it just does that Java going-nowhere spiral thing forever.

Re: C4C Photo Dump
If you have a direct link and it doesn't work, that sounds fucked. Weird.
But you do talk about having to enlarge to get the links. Which is the bit that I have avoided.
Go to http://s286.photobucket.com/settings/album (should be on the Albums tab automatically)
Under Links make sure you have the ones you want ticked, and also make sure under them that Easy Linking Mode is ticked.
Save the settings and now you should not need to enlarge the pictures (and fuck with Java) in order to get the links, they should all be displayed immediately under the thumbnails in your library.
Hopefully this helps?!

Well, easy linking mode is on but if use a direct link, it just gives the [תּImage] thing:Matt Morrison wrote:If you have a direct link and it doesn't work, that sounds fucked. Weird.

Disturbingly, the thumbnails have now also disappeared and I'm seeing this on logging in:

Re: C4C Photo Dump
Imgur and Photobucket have their advantages. Photobucket feels more permanent for one.
But yeah your Photobucket layout looks fucked. Try using another browser, I'm sure it's going to be some weird browser issue. I use Firefox.

It's odd, it's worked fine for ages but now it's like that in Chrome, Firefox and IE.Matt Morrison wrote:Imgur and Photobucket have their advantages. Photobucket feels more permanent for one.

Imgur does seem a lot better, to be fair to Jono.
Edit: sorry, just testing
More tests
Hmm. Odd.

Re: C4C Photo Dump
Nothing to apologise for, I almost wholly use imgur as well since I started reading Reddit.
The only thing I use Photobucket for is uploading ebay photos for things I'm selling since I've been using that for years to collect ebay images and it doesn't seem necessary to switch it.

Re: C4C Photo Dump
This is really just to annoy Rhys. No other reason:
I was going to send it to Private Eye but it seems it was a bit of an obvious joke as I've seen a few variations on the internet since I (thought I) had made it up. Hate it when that happens.

Re: C4C Photo Dump
Can somebody explain to me why this exists:
Any help will do. Why does the product exist? Why is it being carried by somebody on a train? What's the plastic bag all about? Why? Why is this all happening? I'm confused.

It's a sex toy which enables a man to simulate 'doggy style' intercourse without the inconvenience of having to put up with all the shit that a real woman brings you.JimBentley wrote:Can somebody explain to me why this exists:

However, in this instance, since it isn't a selfie, I'm assuming that it has been bought, most likely as a 'joke gift' for a third person (person C) by the person holding the item (person A) and possibly the person taking the photograph (person B).
They are on a train because they are transporting the item from the place of purchase back to their place of abode - maybe alternative bus routes were available for this journey, I can't be sure.
The black bag is to conceal the item from view, and is being lifted for the purposes of taking the amusing train photo.
HTH.

I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

In retrospect it was the "Pet" bit that was confusing, at the time I had it in my head that it was a product you would buy for your pet's use, but now I see how they've used the word in a different context.
Still, least now I know what to get you for Xmas!
