Wow - one for the record books. I thought Team Jen had arrived early at first, but unfortunately Team Gen was sadly
not in the same league.
There are a couple of 7s in round 5 and a couple of 8s in 12, but I didn't get them.
Alt first numbers of (75+8)x10+1 or Margaret's way to 825 and make 6 from the 3, 5 and 8 left over.
Alt 2nd numbers (9x75)+100+6+1
not in the same league.

The combined score of 77 is the lowest in 15-round history, both old and new. PRODIGAL for a beater in round 12.
Question for Graeme: Is this the first 15-rounder ever not to have any rounds where both contestants scored?

Crikey!!! Just come back from Salford, and thought Michael Cullen was joking when he mentioned this score!!!
BARCODE in round 2, SENECIO in round 4 and SOSATIE in round 8.
2nd Numbers Alt.: (75 x 9) + 100 + 8 - 1 = 782

I think someone may have cheated on their phone audition ?!

I thought Margaret was very unlucky to have STOWAGES disallowed in round 8 - one definition I can find is "a place or container for storage". Which means that Gen arguably only really scored 4, and had Margaret not seen a phantom A in round 10, Gen might have had no points at all. I started to feel quite embarrassed for her after a while.

She didn't look the slightest bit embarassed however!Guy Barry wrote:I thought Margaret was very unlucky to have STOWAGES disallowed in round 8 - one definition I can find is "a place or container for storage". Quite the worst game of Countdown I ever remember watching!
I thought I was good at Countdown until I joined this forum

Alt 2nd numbers: (100+6)x8 +9 - 75.
After the disallowing of stowages, Rachel seemed to be 'very' helpful to Margaret with a numbers round that she didn't seem to have done properly at all. Maybe if the stowages round hadn't happened, the producer would have stopped all that outside help! As an 'outsider' here, the one positive thing about games like this is they make me feel intelligent!! Perhaps I should apply after all

Not in ODE3 - it says "space for stowing something in" - and gives an example usage.Guy Barry wrote:I thought Margaret was very unlucky to have STOWAGES disallowed in round 8 - one definition I can find is "a place or container for storage".
