Numbers game 1:

3, 3, 4, 7, 1, 10 - target 649

Answer: (3x3x7)-4 = 59
59 x (10 + 1) = 59 x 11 = 649.

Useful trick for divisibility by 11; alternate digit sums differ either by 0 or a multiple of 11

in 649, 6 + 9 = 15, 4 = 4 - diff. 11

I got 651, as 93 x 7.

But well done Mark!

I've forgotten the (ex-)champion's name, did anyone catch it? Friday's recap hasn't appeared yet. I also missed the clue for the first tea-time teaser.

She was called Suzanne Perkins - also on Wiki, btw
I've got the show recorded, just in case I was called away, and will have a look for the TTT clue.

I've only just read your full post, Mark. All I glimpsed was 59 x 11, before I dashed back to watch the show.

I then made that from (10 x (3 + 3) - 1) x (7 + 4)

Same result, still using 59 x 11, but different ways of making 59 and 11.

UNDERAGES isn't in (OVERAGES is though). UNGREASED and DUNGAREES is the double 9 - surprised DC missed it. INCITER as an equaller round 1 (although I prefer Charlie's ONEIRIC). I laughed on round 12 because all I could find was ANUSES and then Des said "it's tightened up now". Good job a contestant didn't offer it.

Horrendous letters today but thanks to the 9 in the last round, I managed to score reasonable scores of 117 and 122 against the champion and challenger respectively.
